Discussion of the book “Stories” by outstanding writer-playwright Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was held at Nakhchivan State Film Fund with participation of teachers and students of Nakhchivan Music College.
Director of the college Gunay Aliyeva opened the event related to the discussion of the book which is in the “List of books that are necessary to read” approved by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Mr. Vasif Talibov, dated August 28, 2017. She underlined the importance of the decree in terms of formation of patriotism, commitment to our history, national roots and outlook in the younger generation.
Atike Hasanli, a student of the college, made a report on the topic “Jalil Mammadguluzadeh’s life and creativity” and noted that prominent writer-dramatist, publicist Jalil Mammadguluzadeh’s creativity in the field of literature and art served the ideal of enlightenment of the people.
It was stressed that the prominent writer was also remembered with his important services in the development and dissemination of our national press.
The student of the college Sakina Ismayilova delivered a speech on the topic “Jalil Mammadguluzadeh is the master of stories”. It was noted that the prominent writer is known as a great master of small stories in the Azerbaijani literature. “Postbox”, “Pirverdi’s Cock”, “Bearded Child”, “Ice” and other stories by Jalil Mammadguluzadeh in our literature are also the most striking examples of children’s literature.
It was noted that the stories of the great writer have a classic artistic level. The stories have acute sarcasm, sharp accusing laughter. All of these stories, which consist of exquisite lyricism and educative humor reflect the deficiencies, ignorance and fanaticism in the society. These stories served to eliminate the national-social backwardness, the formation of national consciousness and ideology of Azerbaijanism, and the shaping of democratic thinking.
Then the students recited the poems in the “Stories” book, and their questions were answered.
At the end of the event “Pirverdi’s cock” film was demonstrated.
