The painting contest started in Ordubad region

On October 27, in accordance the joint action plan of the ministries of Culture and Tourism and Education of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the painting contest titled “Great leader Heydar Aliyev through the eyes of young painters” organized by Nakhchivan State Art Gallery and Ordubad Region Education Department started in Ordubad region. At the event held on this occasion, Hokuma Mammadli, director of Nakhchivan State Art Gallery spoke about the national leader’s services in the development of Azerbaijani culture and art. It was mentioned that in all periods of national leader’s power the development of all fields of our culture as well as art painting were in the spotlight. The national leader highly appreciated the work of cultural figures.

Various decisions, orders and decrees of national leader related to the development and promotion of our culture are still making a great contribution to the promotion and prevent national culture and the inculcation of future generations.

Hokuma Mammadli informed about the purpose and conditions of the competition and stated that the aim of the drawing competition titled “Great leader Heydar Aliyev through the eyes of young painters” which will be held in all regions of the autonomous republic is to reveal children, teenagers and young talents from autonomous republic schoolchildren and, further development of their creative abilities,   forming  spiritual and aesthetic outlook on the younger generation by utilizing the ancient and rich cultural heritage of our people, as well as instilling high patriotic spirit.

The director of the gallery mentioned that of VI-XI grade students of secondary schools will take part in the contest consists of seven regional and city rounds. The participants will have 3 hours to draw pictures on the defined topic. Evaluation of paintings will be carried out with ten-point system by the jury.

For information, one I, two II and two III places have been defined in the contest. Participants with I and II places of the regional and city rounds will take part in the autonomous republic round in May in 2018.

Then the contest started, the evaluation of paintings was held.

According to the results of the contest, XI grade student of Ordubad city secondary school №1 Yusifov Natig   I, VIII grade student of Ordubad city secondary school №1Jalilov Kamal and 6th grade student of Ordubad city secondary school Hajiyeva Abbas II, IX grade student of Ordubad secondary school №3 Mammadov Sabir   and IX grade student Ganza village Hasanova Shahla won III places.
