The educative event at State Migration Service

Enlightenment event on “Behruz Kangarli’s creativity” with the participation of foreigners and stateless persons was held at the State Migration Service of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Opening the event Samir Abbasov, employee of the service spoke about the importance of such events.

Director of the Bahruz Kangarli museum Sabina Alinjali spoke about the creativity of the painter. It was noted that, even though the painter tested his brush on a variety of topics, all his creativity related to the Motherland, land, the people, our destiny. He worked on portraits of the leading intellectuals of the period, caricature and satirical paintings, created painting, watercolor and paint works reflecting architectural, landscape and household scenes. There are a number of works in his creativity that reflect the pain of the tragic years of our people. Bahruz Kangarli portrayed the tragic events committed by Armenian dashnaks in Azerbaijan in 1918-1920, he created series of portraits of Azerbaijani refugees who had been driven out of their native lands and had sheltered Nakhchivan. These paintings reflecting the historical realities are an indispensable source for delivering massacres, deportations and nationwide troubles committed by the dashnaks to future generations.

People artist’s anniversary was marked

An event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of well-known singer Azizaga Mammadov, People’s Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held in Nakhchivan State Philharmony on August 25.

Opening the event, Natavan Gadimova, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, said that in the ancient land, artists are paid special attention and care. The jubilee of Azizaga Mammadov, who celebrated his 60th birthday today, is a fine example of the continuation of these traditions. The Minister congratulated people’s artist Azizaga Mammadov on his 60th birthday and wished him creative successes. It was noted that the famous singer devoted 40 years to the development of our musical culture. From his early age his musical talent led him to the ensemble of folk instruments “Taravat”, functioning in the Ordubad district. After working here, he came to Nakhchivan. Since 1979 he has been the singer of Nakhchivan State Philharmony. In his repertoire “Azerbaijan marali”, “Sari galin” and tens of other folk songs were sounded and applauded in a number of foreign countries.

One of the main types of folk art is embroidery, which is an art women work hard and willingly on it. Recently, I visited aunt Fatma , who lived in the neighborhood. The hostess made so much pressure to sit at the tea table. In the main time, the tablecloth on the table attracted my attention. I could not take my eyes from the tablecloth. Seeing this, aunt Fatma asked that why I fixed my eyes on the tablecloth. She said that this tablecloth is the memory of her late grandmother to her mother: “My mother gave me this elegant cover to keep as a memory. I use this tablecloth when I have dear guests”.

The next training seminar for museum guides at the Museum of Heydar Aliyev

Conducting training seminars for museum guides of the autonomous republic is continued. The next event was held at the Museum of Heydar Aliyev.

At the event holding by the organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, collaborator of the ministry Gumral Mamiyeva made a speech on the topic “Behavior rules of museum guide” and mentioned that the main purpose of the seminar-trainings for the museum guides is to increase the theoretical and practical knowledge of museum guides in connection with the organization of excursion work in museums. During these events, the guides not only try to learn more about their functions, as well as got detailed information on the museum work. Conducted training seminars were also useful in creating conditions for museum staff to get acquainted with museums located in all regions of our ancient land.

Children benefit from library services

“Summer Reading Hall” was organized for 30 students who lagged behind their classes in the summer season by Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Children’s Library named after Adil Babayev. Measures for I-IV pupils started on July 1 and regular attendance of pupils was provided. The students attended the “Summer Reading Hall” twice a week. The event will end on August 25. Throughout this period, teachers have been taught the secrets of knowledge by using 100 textbooks. Lessons were taught mainly by experienced librarians. Only English and mathematics were taught by the teachers of school named after Heydar Aliyev and Nakhchivan city secondary school № 4. The organization of this event was also appreciated by the parents of those pupils.

In addition, during the summer season, the library staff organized the exhibition of new books and reading days for 11 times in Heydar Aliyev Avenue, “Chanlibel”, “Gochustu” neighborhoods, in the yards of the buildings of Tabriz, Istiglal, Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, Nizami streets in Nakhchivan. Nearly one thousand students participated in these events, of which 200 were accepted as permanent readers of the library.
