Our children’s smile is our happiness...

The performance of “Sky  Bird”  play by Belgian poet-dramatist, Nobel Prize laureate Moris Metterling  on the stage of Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater   was remembered with a number of successful sides. And from the beginning, I would say that it was a great pleasure for the audience to enjoy.

New art success of the Nakhchivan theatre…

This work, which was staged for the first time at the theater of Azerbaijan at the beginning of the 30s of the last century, had not been addressed till today. As the “Sky bird” is a philosophical work, it is necessary to unite a strong director, artist and composer work in the art of solving the idea of the author.  It is gratifying that the performance was successful and the idea-content of the work was conveyed to the audience. Impressive beauty and successful scene resolution have brought  new psychological mood and aesthetic style to the Nakhchivan theater. We will not be mistaken if we call the work  staging  at the Nakhchivan Theater for the first time a new art success of our venerable theater.

It should be noted that the philosophical and psychological aspects of the subject matter are deeper and in most cases it does not precisely capture it at first glance. After completing the story to the end of the play, you can not escape the effects of the work for hours. That is the beauty and freshness of the stage.

On July 26, in accordance with the Action Plan of the Knowledge Fund under the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, “Sky bird” performance by Belgian poet-dramatist, Nobel Prize laureate Moris Metterling was demonstrated  at Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater.

The playSky bird” for the first time in the Nakhchivan Theater impresses with optimistic ideas. This philosophical work, written in children’s poetry, impresses wise and exemplary feelings.  The play is about the visit of the son of a wood-hunter, Tiltil and his daughter, Mitil, to the world of other memories, night palace, forest, garden of happiness, and happy future worlds searching for the magical Sky Bird to cure the sick girl in the neighborhood on Christmas Eve. During the journey, they met the dream of their grandparents who passed away long ago, as well as the trees, animals, light, and the secrets of the night hidden by the night. At the end of the performance, they wake up and return to their own world. It turns out that their journey took place overnight. They realize that the Sky Bird, the symbol of happiness, is in the heart of everyone. The happiness of every human being love and kindness is in his heart. Those who want to be happy should be able to be kind. The biggest happiness is the parent’s love. The children images in the play enable the idea of the work symbolizing the happy future of mankind.

Indeed, immediately upon their arrival, international dignitaries will find Nakhchivan to be worth the visit, after experiencing the majestic beauty of: the Momuna Khatun tomb (Mausoleum); the Garabaghlar tomb and the tomb of Usif Kuseyir Oglu.

The Momuna Khatun tomb (mausoleum) is a historical and architectural monument built in the city of Nakhchivan by Ajami Abubakr oglu Nakhchivani, the founder of Azerbaijani school of architecture and a very influential scholar to various European architecture schools. The Momuna Khatun tomb, is a magnificent monument of Azerbaijan’s national architecture and a pearl of Eastern cultural monuments and architecture design.
