The participants of the "Let's discover our country" tour-campaign visited Shahbuz on March 28.
The pupils got acquainted with the "Farma Shah" Limited Liability Company and then, they visited the Batabat Astrophysics Observatory. They were informed about the study of dynamics and physics of celestial bodies in the observatory. It was noted that because of the clean sky and suitable astronomical conditions of the autonomous republic, it is possible to observe and study all the celestial bodies, such as planets, comets, asteroids, stars and near galaxies, except the Sun.
The acquaintance with the Shahbuz State Nature Reserve started at the museum there. Schoolchildren were informed about the exhibits of flora and fauna in the reserve area. There are 2899 plant species in the reserve, many of them are iris species in different colors and smell, the Eastern tulips spreading in the mountains, fragrant wild carnations, orchids, paradoxical iris and others are endemic.
The acquaintance with Aghbulag Recreation Center which is the result of the initial activities in the field of rural tourism attracted the attention of the participants of the tour-campaign.
The lovable ashug art, which is considered to be a deep, rich art form, has developed from ancient times in Nakhchivan, one of the historical regions of Azerbaijan. The high development of culture throughout history and the existence of urban life enabled the ashugs to function extensively in Nakhchivan. The famous ashugs of their time - Agh Ashug Allahverdi Kosajanli, Ashug Suleyman, Ashug Jalil, Ashug Mammadjafar, Chobankarali Ashug Jafar, Ashug Mirzali, Ashug Hidayat, Ashug Abulfaz and others were the figures of Nakhchivan ashug environment.
We made a conversation with, specialist in folklore, professor Yusif Safarli in order to get detailed information about the rich history and present development level of ashug art. He noted that ashugs were known as ozan, dada, varsag, yanshag in ancient times. The "varsag" name of the ashugs was related to the name varsag tribes. “Yanshag” was mainly used in XIII-XIV centuries.
Folklore research shows that the art of ashug is an oral literature preserving artistic mentality of the Turkic people in the form of syllables metre from elementary to modern times. The outstanding representatives of this art such as Ashug Gurban, Ashug Abbas Tufarganli, Khasta Gasim, Molla Juma, Dada Turab, Ashug Valeh and others enriched ashug poems even more. The visit of Ashug Ali, Ashug Alasgar, including Ashug Huseyn Shamkirli to Nakhchivan, to organize meetings with local ashugs show that the art of ashug in this historic area had developed in XVII-XX centuries.
In the frame of tour-campaign “Let’s discover our country”, 162 schoolchildren from Narimanov, Nizami, Pirallahi, Surakhani, Sabunchu and Khazar regions of Baku came to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with 18 giude-teachers on March 26.
The schoolchildren visited the monument of our national leader Heydar Aliyev erected in the main square of Nakhchivan city, got acquainted with the Museum of Heydar Aliyev.
The schoolchildren got acquainted with Nakhchivan State Carpet Museum, “Khan Palace” State Historical-Architectural, Momuna Khatun and the Musem in the Open Air Complex, got detailed information about the historical monuments. The participants also visted “Nakhchivan” University, one of the prestigious educational centers of the region.
On the second day of the tour-campaign- on March 27, the schoolchidren from Baku got acquainted with the historical monuments and cultural facilities located in Ordubad and Julfa regions of the autonomous republic.
The Azerbaijan Tourism Association (AzTa) has founded a new committee.
AzTa member of board Goydaniz Gahramanov informed AZERTAC about it.
"By the decision of the AZTA board, a committee for affairs with guides has been established. The new committee has already held its first meeting. Administrative issues were discussed at the meeting. Samira Guliyeva was elected as the head of the newly-established committee for affairs with guides. Thus, AzTa is now numbering five committees – the Committees on Inbound Tourism, on Outbound Tourism, on Work with Hotels, on Transport Issues and Work with Guides" - Goydaniz Gahramanov said.
Note that Samira Guliyeva is the head of company "Guide Services".
On March 27, Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh hosted an event dedicated to International Theater Day.
At the event, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Natavan Gadimova said that on March 27, 1961, at the IX Congress of the International Theater Institute of UNESCO in Vienna, every year March 27 is celebrated as International Theater Day.
It was stressed that the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic provides comprehensive care for the activities of theaters. In recent years, in the autonomous republic, consistent measures have been taken to strengthen the financial and technical basis of theaters, and all the theater buildings have been reconstructed or repaired.
The minister pointed out that in the years of independence creative searches, tours of our theaters have expanded, collectives have become professional propagandists of our national values. The Nakhchivan State Children's Theater, established by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated October 4, 2006, has managed to worm into confidence of children with various performances. Also folk theaters are successfully operating in cities and districts of the autonomous republic. Dozens of performances by folk theaters have been welcomed by the public.
