The film "The day passed" demonstrated in Shahbuz region

The Nakhchivan State Film Fund presented the film "The day passed" within the framework of Azerbaijan Cinema Day to the people at the Shahbuz Region "Araz" cinema on March 7.

The discussion of the novel "How the Steel Was Tempered" was held

On March 7, "Nakhchivan" University hosted the discussion of the novel "How the Steel Was Tempered" by Russian writer Nikolai Alexeevich Ostrovsky (1904-1936). Teachers and students of "Nakhchivan" University attended the discussion.

Aytakin Gahramanova, the director of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Library named after M.S.Ordubadi, PhD in History, made an opening speech at the event and informed about the "The list of books necessary for reading" approved by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated August 28, 2017. It was noted that according to the library's action plan, the discussion of these books are organized in secondary and vocational schools and universities of the autonomous republic. In February, the library organized discussions of "The Ruler" by Niccolò Machiavelli, "Akhlaq-i Nasir" by Nasir al-Din Tusi and "Ball of Fat" by Guy de Maupassant.

Aytakin Gahramanova spoke about the novel "How the Steel Was Tempered" by Nikolai Ostrovsky and said that the work written in 1930s is still read with interest. The novel reflects the autobiographical life of the writer, but it is also realistic. The main character of the work, Pavel Korchagin, is an example of the youth's favorite character. Pavel Korchagin overcomes all difficulties. Even death does not scare him. It was noted that although the writer lived a short life, this work brought him into prominence, translated into more than 100 languages, was screened, and published in Azerbaijani language many times.

Kim Chang-gyu, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Korea Republic to the Azerbaijan Republic, paid an official visit to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on March 6-7, 2018. During the visit, the guest visited production and cultural facilities and historical monuments of the autonomous republic. On March 6, the Korean diplomat laid flowers at the monument to the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the main square of Nakhchivan and visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum.

The guest visited Nakhchivan Business Center was informed about the achievements of the autonomous republic in the economic sphere. It was noted that there were products of 192 varieties and 1258 species of 94 enterprises, products of 17 varieties and 112 species produced in 37 family farming, 254 handicrafts by 30 artisians, paintings, carpets and the map of production facilities of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic there.

The guest visited the Ordubad Region History-Ethnography Museum located in the historic building "Geysariyya" and he was informed about the exhibits there. It was noted that the museum was located in "Geysariyya" building, the 12th century monument. In the past a covered eastern market built to sell jewelries belonged to shahs was called "Geysariyya". "Geysariyya" is one of the rare monuments in the world. There are such buildings in three parts of the world - Samargand, Tabriz and Ordubad.

On March 7, an event related to March 8 International Women’s Day was held at Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theatre named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh.

The Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov congratulated the participants and the women of the autonomous republic on the occasion of March 8 International Women’s Day and said: The level of cultural development and progress of each society, having progressive values are connected with the attitude displayed for mothers, women. It is not accidental that the name of mothers and women are considered holy in Azerbaijan society. If one of the reasons is the preserving the ancient Turkish traditions and customs, the second one is our holy religion Islam. Seminar-training for museum guides at Julfa Region History-Ethnography Museum

On March 6, Julfa Region History-Ethnography Museum hosted a seminar-training for museum guides organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Speaking the purpose and importance of the event, Gumral Asadova, the head adviser of the ministry on cultural heritage and museum work, made a speech on "The behavior rules of a museum guide" and mentioned that museums of different profiles are operating in the autonomous republic. The museums are paid special attention, their financial-technical base is strengthened, and the professional level of the staff is developed. After the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic "On strengthening relations with the museums" dated December 19, 2014, there has been a significant increase in the number of museum visitors. This, in turn, requires responsible and active work of museum staff, guides, as well as it is necessary to develop intelligible and fluent speech skills in the presentation of exhibits.

"Since 2015, the acquaintance of the museum guides with the museums in different regions of the autonomous republic is provided through the seminar-trainings", - said Gumral Asadova and stressed that more than 30 events were held for the museum network in the autonomous republic in the last years. Today's event is the fourth one. The main goal of today’s event serves to increase the professional ability of the museum guides, to help developing their theoretical and practical knowledge methodically.

It was noted that in these seminar-trainings the museum guides were also eager to learn more about the functions of the museum and the museum's work. At the same time, these events are important for getting acquainted with the museums in all regions of the autonomous republic. These events give information to the museum guides about the innovations of this field, their questions are answered.
