On February 20, the conference on the topic “Tourism potential of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” was held with the participation of the students of Nakhchivan State University and “Nakhchivan” University at Nakhchivan State Film Fund.
Opening the event, the head of Tourism department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Akbar Novruzov stated that the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated July 27, 2015 “On giving voluntary assistance by the associated organizations to the professions in the institutions of higher and secondary special education” is an important state document in the term of preparing qualified experts. The ministry of Culture and Tourism gives assistance to more than 20 professions on culture and tourism. The students studying at tourism and hospitality professions at higher educational institutions are taking part in today’s conference.
On February 20, Nakhchivan Music College hosted a master class for the students studying choreography.
Sona Aliyeva, The Honored Artist of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, dancer of the Nakhchivan State Philharmonic Song and Dance Ensemble, said in master-class that national Azerbaijani choreography is based on ancient sources. Modern choreography has been formed from ancient times. Dances were always performed at holidays and wedding ceremonies.
It was noted that dancing is the kind of art based on the rhythmic motive expression and the plasticity of the human body. Dances emerged from different movements and gestures related to the labor process and emotional impressions of people. Each nation has its own dance traditions. Stage dances are based on folk dances. Harmonic movements and poses, plasticity and mimicry, dynamics of movements, and composition are the main expression means of dance. Suits and props have an important role in the enrichment of dances.
The concert of Nakhchivan State Philharmonic Song and Dance Ensemble under the motto "Nakhchivan - The Capital of Islamic Culture - 2018" was held at the Culture Palace of Sharur on February 20.
It should be noted that this collective had a special role in the formation of philharmonic. This collective founded in September 1959, has attracted talented youth of the autonomous republic, where talented musicians and dancers have been trained. The song and dance ensemble has been a great service in the formation and moral development of our music art in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. It was in 1984 that Nakhchivan State Philharmonic was established on the base of this ensemble. The Song and Dance Ensemble pays special attention to the variety of the repertoire from the time it was created. In the ensemble's repertoire, along with folk songs and dances, works by Azerbaijani composers also play an important role. Today, along with well-known singers, young talented singers and dancers also work in the collective. The ensemble's repertoire includes songs by Tofig Guliyev, Ramiz Mirishli, Nariman Mammadov, Said Rustamov, Ganbar Huseynli, Alakbar Tagiyev, Elza Ibrahimova, Emin Sabitoglu and others. The Song and Dance Ensemble has been on tours throughout Russia, Georgia, Dagestan, Turkey, Poland and Central Asia.
Zeynalabdin Babayev, the Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic, is the art director of the ensemble, Tamerlan Bagirov, the Honored Culture Worker of the Azerbaijan Republic, is its choreographer. The concert began with the performance of "Khançobani" by the dance group.
On February 20, the Nakhchivan State Puppet Theater named after Mahammad Tagi Sidqi presented the play "The Little Red Riding Hood" at Ordubad Region Culture House for children and schoolchildren.
People's Artist Shirzad Abutalibov, the director of the theater, spoke briefly to the audience about the activity of the Nakhchivan State Puppet Theater. It was noted that the theater plays an important role in upbringing of children in the spirit of national and spiritual values, in the formation of aesthetic pleasure in them. The theater, which was established in 1989, has also been on tours abroad and has been participating in theater festivals and has gained the audience's love.
There are numerous films, cartoons and performances about the famous "The Little Red Riding Hood" tale. Well-known Russian playwright Evgeny Schwartz is the author of the performance which is based on the world-famous tale by French writer and poet Charles Perrault. Scenes on the spectacle are based on the adventures of the girl in a red hat. The main characters of the play are the girl in a red hat, her grandmother and Wolf.
