An event at the Culture House of Garachug

On January 31, the Culture House in Garachug village, Nakhchivan and Garachug branch library named after Imran Gasimov held a joint event on the occasion of "2 February Youth Day".
Abbas Ismayilov, the director of the Garachug village Culture House, made an opening speech at the event and noted that on February 1, 1997, the Day of the First Youth Forum - February 2 was proclaimed as Youth Day in Azerbaijan by the order of national leader Heydar Aliyev. "We charge this independent state that we established to the young. They should continue our work". These ideas of national leader Heydar Aliyev are manifestation of confidence in Azerbaijan youth. During all the time the Great Leader led our country, it was in the center of attention to grow up healthy young generation, ensuring youth participation in socio-economic, socio-political and cultural life of the country.
Then, Aliyeva Yasaman, the art director of the Garachug Village Culture House, said that the state youth policy in our country is related to the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev. "We will rely on the strength of the younger generation to manage the state and society, and we will use their capabilities maximally".

On February 1, by the organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic the event dedicated to the 2 February Youth Day was held at the “Youth” Center in Nakhchivan.
Opening the event, the minister of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Natavan Gadimova congratulated all the youth on the occasion of Nakhchivan's election as the Youth Capital of Azerbaijan for 2018.
It was noted that our national leader Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation for youth policy in our country. Upbringing sober-minded generation was always in the focus of the national leader’s attention as the key duty of the state and society, he declared that ensuring the participation of young people in the socio-economic, socio-political and cultural life of the state and society is a major issue.
After the independence of our country, the foundation of the state youth policy was laid in Azerbaijan. In 1994, the Ministry of Youth and Sports was established in our country, and on February 2, 1996 the First Forum of Azerbaijani Youth was held. The day of the first forum - February 2 was proclaimed as Youth Day in Azerbaijan by the relevant decree of the national leader. The genius personality also focused on creating a legal base for this area and further improving the work of young people, in 2002, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Youth Policy" was adopted.

On January 31, at Babek Region History-Ethnography Museum, with the joint organization of Youth Union of Babek Region Culture and Tourism Department and Babek Region Youth and Sports Office held the event titled “Youth is our future” under the motto “Nakhchivan-the Capital of Islamic Culture-2018”.
The head of the museum Arzu Gasimov opened the event and mentioned that Nakhchivan has been declared the capital of Islamic culture and this ancient land of Azerbaijan is rich in the examples of Islamic culture. Historically, Nakhchivan has played an unique role in the preservation of achievements of Islamic culture. The head of the museum also spoke about the care and attention towards the youth and stated that youth policy founded by the national leader Heydar Aliyev is being continued successfully by the president of the country.
It was emphasized that the young generation is provided with entire care in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic as in every corner of our country. The chairman of Youth Union of Babek Region Culture and Tourism Department Kanan Feyzullayev noted that to strengthen the statehood, independence, the reliable maintenance of the future depends on preparing skillful cadres, the activity of young people in all spheres of the society, becoming the leading power.
III tour of musical-intellectual game "Lira"

The Youth Center of Nakhchivan hosted the musical-intellectual game "Lira" among the students of children's musical, art and crafts schools organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic under the motto "Nakhchivan - The Capital of Islamic Culture - 2018".
Before starting the game, Leyla Alimardanova, Head of the sector of music development and work with educational institutions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, stated that 26 children's music art and crafts schools of the Autonomous Republic had participating in the music and intellectual game "Lira" and schedule was drawn up. Under the schedule, according to the results of games during the 2017-2018 academic year, the winner teams will participate in the final round in mid-2018. The purpose of holding these games is to help students increase their knowledge and to raise their intellectual level.

Yavar Abbasov: “The ancient capital of the youth - Nakhchivan”.
Today we feel the spirit of youth in ancient Nakhchivan.
There is holiday atmosphere in the autonomous republic. The reason is the selection of Nakhchivan the “Youth capital”. Not only our young people are behind this success, but also patriotic residents of all ages. Everyone did their best from the very first day of voting. The main thing is that everyone united for Nakhchivan and the result pleased everybody. This competition suggested the youth of Nakhchivan to take more active part in the social-political life of the autonomous republic. This victory proved once more that the youth in Nakhchivan is very active in spite of being in blockaded condition. Nakhchivan was the most real candidate since the start of the competition, remained the leader until the last minute of the vote. There are hundreds of reasons to prove that Nakhchivan is worthy to be the "Youth Capital" among twenty-three cities.
Nakhchivan is the capital of modernity as it is the capital of antiquity.
