Today, in the autonomous republic, effective measures for the youth to use their potential, their social protection, stimulation of creative search, strengthening of military-patriotic education and promotion of healthy lifestyle, adoption of the state program on development of youth creative potential in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, establishment of the "Golden Book" of the young talent and Youth Foundation in autonomous republic by the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated March 29, 2012 have enabled the recognition of the Nakhchivan as the land of youth. Today, this title has been officialized directly by youth.

At the same time, the active participation of youth in the socio-economic, socio-cultural life of the autonomous republic, the effective organization of their leisure time and the development of intellectual potential were the main factors that led the Nakhchivan to be the Youth Capital of Azerbaijan for 2018.

The Nakhchivan youth actively participated in this project, which was held with internet voting, and did their best for getting the title of "Youth Capital".

Presence of the centers for youth in Nakhchivan, Olympic Sports Complexes, green playgrounds, swimming centers, infrastructure for holding international and national sports competitions and other cultural and mass events make sure that Nakhchivan deserves the title of Youth Capital of Azerbaijan and it will successfully host the events in this direction during this year.
