An event on the topic “Museums are our cultural heritage”

On December 13, at “Araz” cinema in Shahbuz city, a lecture on the topic “Museums are our cultural heritage” was conducted for the young people of the institutions under the Shahbuz Region Culture and Tourism Department.

The collaborator of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Kanan Taghizadeh opened the event. It was noted that museum work, the museum study became possible in Azerbaijan after the national leader Heydar Aliyev came to power. He also spoke about the importance of the events held related to our cultural heritage, history of music.

The director of the Nakhchivan State History Museum, the Honored culture worker of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Nizami Rahimov delivered a speech on the topic “Museums are our cultural heritage” and stated that these institutions reflect the historical facts, preserve, study and promote cultural heritage.

It was noted that museum work is about 100 years old in Nakhchivan.

“A form of home education” was presented to spectacles in Sharur

“Ev tərbiyəsinin bir şəkli” tamaşası Şərur tamaşaçılarına təqdim edilib On November 12, the Sharur Region People’s Theater named after Rza Tahmasib presented the play of Najaf bey Vezirov - “A form of home education” to the theaterlovers at Sharur Region Culture House.

This theater, celebrating the 35th anniversary at the end of last year, staged the plays of modern playwrights, along with the works of our outstanding playwrights M.F.Akhundov, J.Mammadquluzade, S.S.Akhundov, A.Haqverdiyev, N.Vezirov, J.Jabbarlı and others.

The small-size comedy of our famous playwright Najaf bey Vezirov’s “A form of home education” is one of his first plays. The bad and rude upbringing in landlord families, ignorance caused by modern society and moral deformity are the main theme and critique of the comedy. For the criticism and exposure of laziness and inability, the author used two young men of the wealthy class.

Nasimi Mammadzade, the creative director, artist and music maker of the performance, achived to create an interesting show. The famous poems of our great satirical poet M.A.Sabir about education, school, art and profession sounded in the prologue and epilogue of the play,are in harmony with the play.

Ancient Nakhchivan have contributed not only to the historical architectural monuments, but also to rich carpet weaving traditions. The climate and the charming nature of the region have created conditions for weaving kinds of carpets such as palaz (kind of carpet without pile), kilim (tapestry-woven type of rug), sumach, varni, shadda, zili, cecim and in general the development of carpet weaving art. As a result of archaelogical investigations carried out in the Autonomous Republic, exploration of primary clay speening wheels and spindle tips made of bone used incarpet weavingproved that nakhchivan was one of the oldest textile centers in Azerbaijan.

Medieval travelers have also provided valuable information in their manuscripts about spreading and reputation of the carpet weaving in Nakhchivan. Especially, becoming one of the most important shopping centers in Middle Ages of Nakhchivan located on the Great Silk Road, has had a significant impact on the development of various folk art samples and handicrafts. The art of carpet weaving was widely spread as a folklore, and in most houses this tradition was continued. As a result of this, it was the carpet weaving art that was the most popular in the autonomous republic of traditional folk art until the end of the last century. In subsequent periods purposeful measures were carried out in the autonomous republic for the development of this art. Protecting and promoting this cultural heritage has been in the focus of attention. The work had done was a stimulus to promote the national carpet weaving art and conduct new scientific studies on this field. The Nakhchivan Carpet Museum started operating in 1998 has contributed to the promotion of our national carpet weaving patterns. In 2010 the museum was provided with a new building, and in 2013 the museum’s exposition was restored.

An open lesson was held at the Literature Museum in Nakhchivan

Naxçıvan şəhərindəki Ədəbiyyat muzeyində açıq dərs keçirilib An open lesson on "Eternal National Leader" was organized at Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Literature Museum named after Jalil Mammadguluzade in Nakhchivan .

Alamzar Ibrahimova, the director of the museum, gave detailed information to the students of the school No.12 about the life and political activity of the great leader.

It was noted that the great leader carried out a number of measures to study and propagate the heritage of prominent figures of Azerbaijan literature. He was also a great protector of art and artisans, writers and poets.

Samana Rustamova, the chief scientific worker of the museum, said that our nationwide leader, along with building an independent state, had also created a national Azerbaijanism ideology that unites the Azerbaijanis.

There was a concert of children with disabilities

On December 6, Nakhchivan City Culture and Tourism Department organized a concert of children with disabilities studied at Nakhchivan's children's music, art and artistic craftsmanship schools.

Before the concert Ramin Hajiyev, the director of Nakhchivan City Children's Music School No. 1 named after M.Mammadov noted that all necessary conditions have been created for healthy growth, education and revealing talents and abilities of children in the autonomous republic. Various events and concerts are held in children's music schools to display their creative potential and talent. In these concerts, children demonstrate their talent and get closely attached to their specialty.

Ayten Ismayilova, the teacher of the piano specialty at this school, said that at present, 27 children of this category are studying in Nakhchivan's children's music, art and artistic craftsmanship schools and two at Nakhchivan Musical College. At this concert, several of them will display their talent.
