In accordance with the Action Plan of the Knowledge Foundation under the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, each year, works in various genres are selected to perform in Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh. One of such examples is the performance based on the philosophical work of the Belgian poet-dramatist, Nobel Prize laureate Maurice Maeterlinck’s “The Blue Bird”.
On July 26, at Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was a public review of the performance of Belgian poet-dramatist, Nobel laureate Maurice Maeterlinck’s “The Blue Bird”, as well as it was included the “List of Books that are necessary to read” approved by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated August 28, 2017.
Discussion of the book “Stories” by outstanding writer-playwright Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was held at Nakhchivan State Film Fund with participation of teachers and students of Nakhchivan Music College.
Director of the college Gunay Aliyeva opened the event related to the discussion of the book which is in the “List of books that are necessary to read” approved by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Mr. Vasif Talibov, dated August 28, 2017. She underlined the importance of the decree in terms of formation of patriotism, commitment to our history, national roots and outlook in the younger generation.
Atike Hasanli, a student of the college, made a report on the topic “Jalil Mammadguluzadeh’s life and creativity” and noted that prominent writer-dramatist, publicist Jalil Mammadguluzadeh’s creativity in the field of literature and art served the ideal of enlightenment of the people.
It was stressed that the prominent writer was also remembered with his important services in the development and dissemination of our national press.
The guests visited the Museum of Heydar Aliyev on the first day of the visit.
It was noted that the Museum of Heydar Aliyev was established by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated February 18, 1999 and started operating on May 10, 1999. The museum preserves the exhibits dedicated to different periods of life and political activity of prominent statesman Heydar Aliyev, as well as various historical documents relating to the period during which the genius person worked as Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. At present there are more than 4600 exhibits in the museum. Nearly 300,000 visitors have visited the museum.
Then, the guests who visited Nakhchivan Solar Power Station were told that the 22 megawatt power plant was put into operation in December 2015. The station produced about 30 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in 2016.
Employees of the Sienna University were interested in the educational opportunities of Nakhchivan State University and lectured for teachers and students of the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering.
On November 3, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic organized an excursion to Ordubad for a group of talented and active young people working in the Youth Organization culture system.
Participants of the excursion organized on the basis of the Ministry’s work plan were first acquainted with the Ordubad History-Ethnography Museum and then the Juma Mosque.
The museum’s guide informed young people that the opening of the historical monument Geysariyya in which Ordubad Region History-Ethnography Museum is situated, was held on January 14, 2011.
It was reported that Geysariyya building which consists of a big dome and 16 small domes adjacent to it, was built in a beautiful architectural style. The monument, dated to the seventeenth century, was built of baked bricks, and its height is 8.5 meters. Roof of the building was repaired, network system in 200 square meters, internal walls were restored. The interior was decorated with decorative bricks, fund room, work rooms for the museum staff were created, and the lighting system fitted to the exposition hall. The functioning of the Ordubad History-Ethnography Museum in this building has further increased the importance of the monument. Today, the visitors of the museum learn about Ordubad’s history, culture, literature, people’s occupation, the outstanding personalities of this land throughout the exhibits in the museum, and also get acquainted with the historical monument Geysariyya.
In the autonomous republic, as well as in different spheres of culture, the activities of children’s music schools are also kept in focus, and various activities are carried out to train young cadres. One of such events is the organization of methodical courses on relevant subjects for teachers of children’s music, arts and crafts schools operating in the autonomous republic.
The next methodical course was held on 1 November at Julfa City Children’s Music School for teachers of general education of children’s musical schools subordinated to the Culture and Tourism Department of the Region. Advisor of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Leyla Alimardanova spoke at the methodological course on solfecio, music and choral subjects stated that the main purpose of teaching methodical courses for teachers on various subjects related to musical art is to enrich the teaching methods of teachers on relevant subjects and to increase their professionalism and knowledge. Teaching methods and practical lessons learned for teachers during the methodological courses offer a wide range of opportunities for the students to master the subjects easily that they are teaching. Today’s solfecio, music literarature and choral courses will contribute to the beneficial utilization of teachers’ teaching methods and will play an important role in deeply embracing the topics of the subjects mentioned above. It was emphasized that proper teaching of solfecio subjects is one of the most important issues in improving students’ ability to hear music, as well as to improve their music note reading skills. Also, the high level teaching of Azerbaijani musical literature and choral subjects will result in the formation of musical sense of the pupils, perform the vocal works in the combination of content and form.
