It is already 3 years that Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Children’s Library named after Adil Babayev has been continuing to hold “Fairy tales” in kindergartens and educational institutions operating in Nakhchivan. These events aim to increase children’s interest for our national values, to bring up children to love their motherland and land by teaching them Azerbaijan popular tales, bayatis, lullabies.
On October 24, the next fairy tale day was held in Nakhchivan city secondary school No.10 named after E.Sultanov.
Opening the event, the director of the school Anakhanim Rustamova spoke about the importance of holding such events.
Then, the collaborator of the library Gunel Khalilova, told Azerbaijani folk tale “Ahmad’s tale” to the first-graders of the school, discussed the fairy tale and held question-and-answer sessions with children.
At the end the school children got acquainted with the exhibition “Books that are necessary to read” created in the library.
During the nine months of this year, in connection with the jubilees of outstanding figures conferences, roundtables, meetings and thematic exhibitions were held, performances, literary and artistic compositions and concerts were presented in the cultural institutions of the autonomous republic.
In the direction of the execution of tasks arising from the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated August 28, 2017 “On books that are necessary to read”, relevant sections have been established in the libraries. In this period 214 of 11 thousand 146 books were presented to the libraries.
The work of museums on the level today’s demand was in the center of attention, the museums have received 993 new exhibits. In January-September 217 thousand 639 people have visited the museums, 258 open lessons have been conducted in the museums. During this period performances at Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theatre “His two ribs” and “Blue bird” by M.Meterling, at Nakhchivan State Puppet Theatre “The key of intend”, “Beautiful Fatma” by K.Aghayeva and “The revenge of the goat” by A.Abbasov, at Nakhchivan State Children’s Theatre “The little prince” by A.S. Exupery and children with limited physical abilities “As you make your bed so, you must lie in it”by B. Isgandarly were presented to the theater lovers. The collective of Ordubad People’s Theater Rashid bey Afandiyev’s “Beard’s generosity”, the collective of the Babek Region People’s Theater prepared and made a performance on the works of B.Vahabzade on “Traces on the road”.

At first, director of the Nakhchivan State Children’s Philharmony Ariz Aghayev spoke about care and attention to the elderly people, pensioners in the autonomous republic. It was noted that the efficient organization of leisure time of residents in the autonomous republic is always in the spotlight. The rebuilding and putting into operation of the Pensioners’ Club No.2 in Nakhchivan is a clear example of this.
It was stressed that the Nakhchivan State Children’s Philharmony was established by the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated April 19, 2010. This decree of the head of the autonomous republic is an important step towards more effective use of creative potential of talented children and delivering our national music traditions to future generations. The necessary conditions have established for the activity of the philharmony, musical instruments, special clothing sets have been bought and children with musical talent have been involved.
On October 18-19, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to Azerbaijan Orelia Bushez visited the autonomous republic.
The ambassador laid flowers at the monument of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the main square of Nakhchivan and expressed her respect and gratitude to the genius leader. Later, French guests visited the Museum of Heydar Aliyev.
Orelia Bushez visited the Nakhchivan Business Center. The ambassador was informed that the center demonstrates products produced by about 100 production and service enterprises in the autonomous republic. Nakhchivan’s local products- brick, furniture sets, small plastic parts, roof cover, mineral waters, food products, Nakhchivan salt, canned roasting and other products are exhibited in the center. The products of largest private sector representatives in the autonomous republic “Gamigaya Holding”, “Dizayn Holding”, “Jahan Holding” unions of companies, “Lezzet Food Industry” Limited Liability Company and Babek “Sirab” Open Joint-Stock Company, as well as the products of many other small and medium-sized businesses are exhibited here.
The French diplomat also got acquainted with the conditions created at Nakhchivan State University and was interested in the educational process.
On October 19, at Nakhchivan State University, in connection with giving voluntary assistance to specialties, the discussion of “Sword and pen” novel by the famous writer, author of historical novels M.S.Ordubadi was held.
Opening the event, the director of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Library named after Mammad Said Ordubadi, PhD on History Aytekin Gahramanova gave the general information about the book. The head of the mass work department of the library Yegana Rustamova made a speech entitled “Historical truths in the novel “Sword and pen”, the head of the information department of the library on Culture and art Nurida Safarova made a speech entitled “Nizami image in the novel “Sword and Pen”.
In the speeches it was mentioned that Mammad Said Ordubadi, in his famous “Sword and Pen” novel, solved this very difficult issue by artistic and intellectual level. To properly perform his boldly chosen task, the writer widely used many historical sources, ancient manuscripts, documents, studied them with great patience and selflessness, and made valuable contributions from these sources in his fiction work.
