Conducting training seminars for museum guides of the autonomous republic is continued. The next event was held at Husein Javid’s House Museum and Memorial Complex in Nakhchivan city.

At the event holding by the organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, collaborator of the ministry Gumral Mamiyeva made a speech on the topic “Behavior rules of museum guide” and mentioned that the training seminars have been holding since last year are very important. Last year, 11 events were organized for museums in the autonomous republic. Today’s event is the thirteenth seminar-training in 2017. The main purpose of the seminar-trainings for the museum guides is to eliminate the existing shortcomings and deficiencies in the organization of excursion work in museums, to increase the theoretical and practical knowledge of museum guides. The seminar-trainings were useful for museum guides, the museum guides not only try to learn more about their functions, but also got   detailed information about the museum work. Conducted training seminars were also useful in creating conditions for museum staff to get acquainted with museums located in all regions of our ancient land. In the seminar-trainings museum guides are also told about innovations in this field, and their questions are answered.

It was noted that the orders of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on the museums are an expression of care and attention to this field. These decrees have played an important role in raising interest in museums, building up the museums’ activities.

It was noted that in the Autonomous Republic, consistent measures are being taken to organize the museum activity at the highest level. Construction of new buildings for the museums, their repair, reconstruction and strengthening of material and technical basis helps to increase the level of work. The implemented works require great responsibility from the museum guides. Museum guides should be well-versed and knowledgeable, have knowledge of foreign languages, and have a detailed knowledge of their cultural center that they work.

It was noted that museum guides should be able to work with people of different levels, schoolchildren and students, the elderly generation, and courtesy and behavioral rules, clothing style, and intellectual outlook should make a good impression on those visiting the museum. Museum guides should pay attention to every citizen, be aware of museum work and innovations in the autonomous republic, listen to their questions carefully and respond to on scientific basis. Today, the museum guide should constantly study the history and culture in order to provide tourists with detailed information about our ancient land. It was stressed that seminars in museums will be continued by the end of the year.

Then, the exposition of Husein Javid’s House Museum and Memorial Complex was viewed by the presentation of the museum guide. In the end, the excursion text was discussed and methodical recommendations were given to museum guides.
