Cultural events continued in August

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic kept in the spotlight the execution of tasks arising from the decrees and orders of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of   Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the adopted state programs. The work on the execution of the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of   Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic  dated August 28, 2017 “On Books that are necessary to read” was carried out and corresponding book corners were created in the libraries included in the ministry’s system.

In August, in order to increase the professional skills of museum guides, seminar-trainings for museum guides were held at Husein Javid’s house-museum and the Museum of Heydar Aliyev, practical trainings of museum fund guards were continued at Nakhchivan State Historical Museum. Enrichment of museum funds with new exhibits was also in focus, the museums recieved  76 new exhibits. A meeting with the Honored Worker of Culture of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Akif Hajiyev who works efficiently in enriching museum funds, was held in   Nakhchivan State Carpet Museum.

According to the schedule drawn up in accordance with the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated December 19, 2014 “On further strengthening of relations with museums”, during the month, more than 40 ministries, committees and chiefs departments, higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, sports federations, entrepreneurship subjects, taxi drivers were acquainted with the museums. Last month, museums were visited by more than 41,000 viewers, more than 11,000 of whom were foreigners.

In August, libraries continued their activities related to “Librarian’s Day”, “Fairy Tales” and “Reading Days”. In total 47 cultural mass events were held, 20 exhibitions were organized. More than 13,000 readers came to libraries, of which 287 are new members.

Propaganda of the tourism potential of the autonomous republic was also in the focus of attention,   106 data on the “Facebook” social network page of the Tourism Information Center, 22 videos on the channel “Youtube” were poted. To tourism information centers and tourism companies operating in other regions of Azerbaijan,    it was also in the focus of attention to send materials to foreign countries related to   the tourism potential of the autonomous republic, more than 10 foreign companies, more than 183 tourism companies operating in Azerbaijan and 13 tourism information centers located in the regions, were sent   225 data.
