Dance concert dedicated to National Music Day was held

The dance concert program dedicated to National Music Day was organized in front of Heydar Aliyev Palace in Nakhchivan city.

The announcer of the concert stated that the concert is dedicated to our dances, yallis. The performance of our dances, one of the oldest and most widespread art, has always been met with interest. Azerbaijani national dances, especially female dances, have always been elegant and delicate. In men’s dance pride, splendor and agility are felt. If we add yallis here, the richness of our ancient dance art once again revives before our eyes.

It was noted that at today’s concert, along with the dance group of Nakhchivan State Philharmony, “Sharur” folk dance ensemble and “Sharur gonchalari” Yalli ensemble greet the dance lovers.

Yallis, created by the lifestyle and artistic thinking of our people, is a symbol of unity, an example of our national characteristics, a brilliant expression of our people’s wisdom. Yallı is the most valuable folk creativity that keeps our past and delivers it to the future. It was stressed that both yalli collectives participated in folklore festivals beyond our ancient land, were awarded diplomas and prizes.

The dance group of the Nakhchivan State Philharmony created an enthusiasm with the dances “Yalli” and “Sari galin”. Then “Sharur” People’s Yalli Ensemble and “Sharur goncalari” children’s ensemble appeared to perform. The yalli collectives performed our ancient yallis such as “Goychamani”, “Tirmashal”, “Soyla”, “Kochari”, “Gopu”, “Hoynari”, “Galeyi”, “Tanzara”, “Khalafi”. The performance of “Sharur gonchalari” children’s yalli ensemble made a good atmosphere. It was once again felt that our ancient yallis were transmitted from generation to generation.

Performances of the dance collective of Nakhchivan State Philharmony  “Three Roses”, “Gaytaghi”, “Turaji”, “Khanchobani”, “Uzundara”, “Naz elama” and other dances were met with applauds. The concert demonstrated beautiful examples of our dance art created over the millenniums. Along with the variegation, delicacy and elegance of our rich dance art, its struggle and enthusiasm was once again demonstrated in front of our eyes.

Note that, events and concerts are being continued in the autonomous republic on the National Music Day.
