French diplomat got acquainted with education, culture and healthcare facilities of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

On October 18-19, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to Azerbaijan Orelia Bushez visited the autonomous republic.

The ambassador laid flowers at the monument of  national leader Heydar Aliyev in the main square of Nakhchivan and expressed her respect and gratitude to the genius leader. Later, French guests visited the Museum of Heydar Aliyev.

Orelia Bushez visited the Nakhchivan Business Center. The ambassador was informed that the center demonstrates products produced by about 100 production and service enterprises in the autonomous republic. Nakhchivan’s local products- brick, furniture sets, small plastic parts, roof cover,  mineral waters,  food products,   Nakhchivan salt,  canned roasting and other products are exhibited in the center.  The products of largest private sector representatives in the autonomous republic “Gamigaya Holding”, “Dizayn Holding”, “Jahan Holding” unions of companies, “Lezzet Food Industry” Limited Liability Company and Babek “Sirab” Open Joint-Stock Company, as well as the products of many other small and medium-sized businesses are exhibited here.

The French diplomat also got acquainted with the conditions created at Nakhchivan State University and was interested in the educational process.

Orelia Bushez also visited the “Gamigaya Mineral Water” Limited Liability Company. The ambassador was informed that the equipment of French “SIDEL” company has been installed in the production area to fill the mineral water bottles. “Badamli” mineral water is highly valued at international exhibitions. Export of this mineral water to foreign countries was the focus of attention, and for the first time last year, mineral water was put on sale in Dubai, one of the major centers of the world market.

One of the historic sites that attracted the attention of the diplomat was I Kultapa dwelling place. Chairman of Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS, academician Ismayil Hajiyev informed the guests that in August 2016 the archeological  expedition of the unit together with archaeologists of the French National Research Center began research in the I Kultapa settlement. Archaeological research together with Nakhchivan scientists and French scientists in Nakhchivan is of great importance not only in terms of studying our history, but also in terms of the promotion of our ancient history throughout the world.

The ambassador also visited Duzdag Physiotherapy Center and was informed about the activities of this treatment center.

In the frame of her visit the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of  French to Azerbaijan Orelia Bushez visited the State Flag Square and Museum, the Nakhchivan State Carpet Museum, “Khan Place” State Historical-Architectural,  Momuna Khatun  and Open Air Museum Complex,    “Nakhchivangala” Historical-Architectural Museum Complex and got detailed information about historical monuments and cultural facilities.
