In our Autonomous Republic, spending the leisure time of both old citizens and pensioners meaningfully  and efficiently is one of the focus areas. Cultural service to people from this category of the population creates opportunities for them to spend their leisure time meaningfully and these people are satisfied with this. Retirement Club No.2 of Culture and Tourism Department of Nakhchivan City is one of the favorite places of pensioners and old people of the city.

On December 1, a concert of "Buta" mugham ensemble of Nakhchivan Music College was held at the Retirement Club No.2. Before the concert, Mirvasif Seyidov, the director of the club, spoke about the care given to the pensioners and old people in the autonomous republic. It was noted that different events are held in our Autonomous Republic for spending the leisure time of pensioners efficiently. At this new club, various competitions on table-games, book discussions and concerts are held. Fortunately, these cultural events are welcomed by people from this category.

It is noted that care for the old is an integral part of our national morality. That’s why pensioners and old people are always given special attention. It was emphasized that cultural services will be continued consistently for pensioners and old people.

The director of the club said that The Nakhchivan Musical College has achieved success in the pursuit of national musical instruments and folk songs, as well as studying classical and modern world composers and training young musicians. In addition to its activities as an educational institution, the college performs concerts at the prestigious events and festivals held throughout the country. Various music collectives have also been created at the college for more than 40 years. “Buta” mugham ensemble is one of these collectives. The collective consists of young mugam performers and singers. The members of the collective perform interesting concert programs before the public. Performances of “Buta” mugham ensemble in Nakhchivan State Television is also interesting. Today, the concert of “Buta” mugham ensemble will create a good mood for pensioners.

Then mugham, tasnifs and folk songs were performed by the "Buta" mugham ensemble. The performance of Rauf Hajiyev's "Azerbaijan" song by Samir Ismayilov be applauded loudly. At the concert, "Sari Gelin", "Qara qashin vasmasi" folk songs and songs of Azerbaijani composers were performed. Sarkhan Aliyev, played in balaban, Nurlan Nuriyev, played in kamancheh, and other musicians accompanied the singer.
