The emotional impact and uniqueness of the handicrafts of Gulnisa ​​Guliyeva, the organizer of cultural-mass events in Julfa Region Culture House, attract people at first glance.

She shared her thoughts on handcrafts with us. She said that she had a desire for decorative-applied art from her childhood, and she was engaged in sewing, weaving and other types of art from her early age. She said: "In my childhood, my grandmother and my neighbors weaved carpets at our home. These processes, which happened in front of me, have been of interest to me in the course of time. When my grandmother saw that I was really interested in these things, she talked about carpet weaving, and sometimes she said, "My girl, come and weave a bit, can you do that?" Naturally, I did not know it very well, and I knotted wrongly. Later I became interested in other types of decorative-applied art. My excessive enthusiasm revealed the idea of ​​preparing something with waste. And I also have enough information about people who create art from waste. It was not easy to master this job.

At first, people cannot understand me. They told me: "Come on, get a profession, it is worth nothing". But I ignore all these words, because of my strong enthusiasm and stubbornness. The most remarkable way was to create exciting handicrafts and to prove that they are misguided. That's what I thought. I could surprise them with the small things I made. People who were once neglected of this work are now admired by my work, even they buy them".

She says that although most people treat waste as unnecessary things, some are able to give them a new life. I create different types of handicrafts with old things. It shows that it depends on people themselves to turn waste products into a work of art. For many years, I have been working on waste materials, doing amazing work. Making pictures and souvenirs gives me special pleasure. Think that you can make any stone under the feet, rotten tree, any object that has been thrown, useful for people, and beautify any corner with your own hands, it makes me very happy. Gulnisa ​​Guliyeva stated that there are a few people who apply her to learn how to make them. For this purpose, the association for "The preparation of handicrafts from household waste" was organized in the Culture House of Julfa region.

Working together with her students, Gulnisa ​​khanum wishes to launch new environmental projects. We also wish her success in her work.
