On February 21, at Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Literature Museum named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, the event on the topic "Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, the great master of small stories" dedicated to the 149th anniversary of prominent writer, playwright and publicist Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was held.
Opening the event holding with the participation of museum employees in the autonomous republic and students of Nakhchivan State University, the director of the museum Alamzar Ibrahimova noted that Nakhchivan city has been declared the capital of Islamic culture for 2018. She then spoke extensively on the life and work of great writer Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, his services in Azerbaijani literature and press.
Then, Honored scientist, doctor on philology Huseyin Hashimli made a speech on "The great master of Azerbaijani literature" and spoke about the main directions of Mirza Jalil's creativity.
The honored teacher of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, PhD on Philology, associate professor Iman Jafarli made a speech on "Mirza Jalil and council of the society" as a researcher of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh.
During the event, the actors of the Nakhchivan State Children's Theater performed a scene from the "Tea Set" work.
