The acquaintance with Nakhchivan was of great interest to tour participants

In the frame of tour-campaign “Let’s discover our country”, 162 schoolchildren from Narimanov, Nizami, Pirallahi, Surakhani, Sabunchu and Khazar regions of Baku came to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with 18 giude-teachers on March 26.

The schoolchildren visited the monument of our national leader Heydar Aliyev erected in the main square of Nakhchivan city, got acquainted with the Museum of Heydar Aliyev.

The schoolchildren got acquainted with Nakhchivan State Carpet Museum, “Khan Palace” State Historical-Architectural, Momuna Khatun and the Musem in the Open Air Complex,  got detailed information about the historical monuments. The participants also visted “Nakhchivan” University, one of the prestigious educational centers of the region.

On the second day of the tour-campaign- on March 27, the schoolchidren from Baku got acquainted with the historical monuments and cultural facilities located in Ordubad and Julfa regions of the autonomous republic.

First, the students came to the secondary school No.3 in Ordubad city. The schoolchildren who visited “Geysariyya” historical building where Ordubad Region History-Ethnography Museum is situated, got  information about the exhibits in the museum. The house-museums of outstanding pedagogue Mahammad Taghi Sidgi, great writer M.S. Ordubadi, academician Yusif Mammadaliyev located in Ordubad made great impressions on the schoolchildren.

During their excursion to Julfa, the students visited Gulustan tomb. It was informed that Gulustan tomb which is of world importance has been restored on scientific and cultural basis according to the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated October 7, 2015.

One of the destinations of the schoolchildren was “Alinjagala” historical monument which was restored on the basis of the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated February 11, 2014 and “Alinjagala” Historical-Cultural Museum. It was noted that the restoration of “Alinjagala” historical monument is of great importance to bring centuries-old historical-cultural heritage of our people to coming generations and to promote it all over the world.

Then the chamber orchestra of Nakhchivan State Philharmonic gave a concert for the schoolchildren at “Duzdagh” hotel.
