On April 20, 2018 children's department of the Nakhchivan City Centralized Library System named after I.Gasimov held a reading day devoted to the life and creativity of prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature Suleyman Rustam. Suleyman Rustam's life and creativity was highlighted and noted that Suleyman Rustam had an important place in the centuries-old history of our poetry. S.Rustam came to the poetry in the early 20s. In 1923, his first poem was published, and then the poet consistently published literary and artistic writings and poems in newspapers and magazines.

Suleyman Rustam is a poet who had done a great and multifaceted task as creating new era poetry since the 20s.

Suleyman Rustam lived and worked for poetry for a long time. In the poet's creativity, the theme of the South was not just a profound personal subject, but also a subject of world events.

Suleyman Rustam’s books "From sadness to happiness", "Fire", "Steps", "Voice of the Poet", "Star", "Romanticism of a night" and "Longing for the South" and etc. have been published in different years and presented to readers.

The poems of Suleyman Rustam were read by schoolchildren on the reading day.
