The results of the first half of the current year were discussed and the forthcoming tasks have been identified at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism

At the event held at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic the minister Natavan Gadimova delivered a lecture.

It was stated that in connection with the execution of the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated February 7, 2009 “On holding Folk days in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”, 5 “Folk days” have been held in Kangarli, Sharur, Sadarak, Ordubad and including Nakhchivan city. The concert programs of musical collectives of Nakhchivan State Philharmony, Nakhchivan Musical College and Nakhchivan City Culture and Tourism Department at “Kata”(flat pie with greens) and “Plum” festivals held in  “Nakhchivangala” Historical-Architectural Museum Complex were met with interest. 

It was noted the “Drawing contest of pupils of children’s art and artistic schools of the autonomous republic devoted to the 94th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev” and final concert of  the winners of other competitions holding on this occasion took place.

It was noted that during the reporting period special attention was paid to the activities of museums at the level of requirements of the day. A number of works have been done to enrich the museum funds with new exhibits. In total, 759 new exhibits have been included in the museums of the Ministry in the past period.

During the reporting period, the activities of the libraries were kept in the focus of the attention, in total 231 events were held.

“During the reporting period, concert-entertainment institutions have also done a number of works,” said the minister, adding that a number of performances were prepared at the Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater named after J.Mammadguluzadeh and Nakhchivan State Children’s Theater.

During the reporting period, the study and promotion of tourism potential of the autonomous republic were in the focus of attention. The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was represented by the stand at the “XVI Azerbaijan International Tourism and Travel Fair” held in Baku.

Events organized by the Ministry during this period were installed on the news section of Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center website and on the social network pages of the center.

Director of Nakhchivan State History Museum, Honored Culture Worker Nizami Rahimov, director of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Library named after M.S.Ordubadi Aytekin Gahramanova, director of Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater named after J.Mammadguluzadeh, People’s Artist Rza Khudiyev, director of Scientific and Methodological Center for Culture Sayyar Mammadov, director of Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center Gulnara Sadigova, director of Nakhchivan Music College Gunay Aliyeva, head of Nakhchivan City Culture and Tourism Department Tarana Jafarova also made speeches around the lecture.

Minister Natavan Gadimova finalized the meeting.
