Nakhchivan State Puppet Theatre named after M.T.Sidgi opened new season with “Beautiful Fatma” performance.

Note that “Beautiful Fatma” performance prepared on the basis of Azerbaijan folk tale was staged on the basis of poem written by Honored worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan, well-known poet-playwright Kamala Aghayeva.

At first, artistic director and head of the theatre, People’s artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shirzad Abutalibov made a speech giving information about the performances which children will be able to watch during the 28^th season. People’s Artist said that today, at the opening of the season, well-known poet and playwright Kamala Agayeva also takes part.

Then, member of the art council of the theater, PhD in Art Studies, associate professor Alakbar Gasimov spoke about the creative activity of Nakhchivan State Puppet Theater. It was stated that the theatre plays a significant role upbringing children in the spirit of national and spiritual values, forming their aesthetic taste.   The theater has been on tour in foreign countries and has participated in theatrical festivals and has gained popularity.

As in the fairytale, public issues are shown on the background of the injustices in the household in “Goychak Fatma” play. The conflict in a small family is rising, and all the benevolent forces are turned against injustice. Fatma has good and noble human qualities. However, this beauty brings disaster to her when her mother dies. The ending of the play with optimistic endings sounds like a victory over the evil forces.

Fatma role is presented by young actress Laman Ahnadova in a natural way. It is her first role in the stage. Actresses Ulduz Suleymanova (stepmother), Vasma Guliyeva (stepsister) are remembered as poignant characters who do not care about little Fatima’s fate. Famous actor of the theater, Ilgar Babayev, is particularly interesting in Grandma’s image. The actor who plays his role in mask in the performance is quite natural.

Actors Ilham Babayev (the cow), Suleyman Suleymanov (the cock) are representatives of good forces in the performance. Though actors Ibad Nabiyev, Arzu Safarov, Afsana Alasgarova appeared at the end of the stage but participated in the opening of events.

Shirzad Abutalibov managed to create an interesting performance. The scenery design by artist Rafael Gadimov is successful. Composer Ali Mammadov’s music, especially Fatma’s songs, is in line with the spirit of the performance.

Performance has created a good mood in children.
