There were concerts in children’s music, arts and artistic craftsmanship schools

As we informed there were events and concerts in children’s music, arts and artistic craftsmanship schools related to “National Music Day”. Yesterday the event was held in the Children’s Music School No 2 in Nakhchivan and a concert took place.

Opening the event, the Head of Nakhchivan City Culture and Tourism Department Tarana Jafarova talked about the services of Uzeyir Hajibeyov in the creation of Azerbaijani professional composer school.  It was noted that the great composer was the first great representative of Azerbaijani music, as well as the first researcher of it. The fame of the mighty composer overcame the boundaries of our country and brought him glorious all over the world.

At the event, director of Children’s Music School Samad Asgarov delivered a speech on the subject “Music Culture of Azerbaijan” and talked about the development of our music. It was noted that the music culture of our people has a rich and centuries-old history. The new music culture that emerged in the XX century has achieved great success in a short period of time. Today  great care and attention is paid  to our musical culture in the autonomous republic. Establishment of the Nakhchivan State Philharmony Orchestra, folklore collectives and the construction of new music schools are an example of this.

Then there was a concert by the pupils of Nakhchivan Children’s Music School No 2. Works of Azerbaijani composers such as Uzeyir Hajibayov, Tofig Guliyev, Ramiz Mirishli, Rashid Rafag and so on,  and folk songs and dances, ashug songs were performed at the concert.

There were concerts in children musical schools of Nakhchivan city and in the regions of the autonomous republic.
