According to the instruction of the Chairman of Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Open Doors are held to acquaint the IX-X grade students with secondary educational institution in the autonomous republic.
For this purpose on November 8 the students of secondary schools number 2 and 5, on November 23 the students of secondary schools number 11 and 15 visited the college. During the excursion, Gunay Aliyeva, the director of Nakhchivan Music College, informed the students about the college and said that it was established by the initiative of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of Azerbaijani people, in 1974. The college launched on 4 specialities in the academic year of 1975-1976 and was named Nakhchivan Secondary Musical Tecnical School till 1992. Since 2005, it was renamed as Nakhchivan Music College. Now staff trainings on 10 specialities have been carring out. Nakhchivan Music College has more than 3000 graduates in recent years. The graduates of this college work at the cultural institutions, children’s music schools and try to develop art and culture.
It was noted that according to the decree of Vasif Talibov, the Chairman of Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, dated March 29, 2015, “On holding the 40th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Music College”, the anniversary of this musical school was widely celebrated in our ancient city.
It was stressed that Nakhchivan Music College created to train qualified musicians, involve talented youngs to music education, keep alive our national musical instruments and folk songs, as well as taught the works of classical and modern world composers, is still contributing to the training of young musicians.
Then the students got acquainted with musical instruments, especially national musical instruments of Azerbaijan. They are informed about our national music and mucical instruments.
At the end of the event the concert of “Buta” mugham ensamble and Variety orchestra was held for the students of secondary school in Nakhchivan. Mugham and tasnifs, folk songs, the songs of Azerbaijani and European composers performed at the concert gave the students a good mood.
