The contest of dance collectives finished

The selection rounds of dance collectives started last month, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, finished and the main round was held at the Nakhchivan State Children's Theater on December 15.

The main purposes of the contest were to promote national dance, which is an integral part of our national culture, to discover talented people and dance performers, to direct the potential of creative collectives and to be ready for cultural events in Nakhchivan, the capital of Islamic culture in 2018. The organization committee and jury were established, the regulation was approved by the order of the ministry. Non-professional dance associations, groups and collectives participated in the contest. There is no age limit for participants. According to the terms of the regulation, the number of collectives, the duration of the performances were defined. The teams that were liked in the selection round have the right to participate in the main round by the jury's decision.

The collective members' clothes and stage culture and other dance-related criteria were taken into consideration in the contest.

11 dance collectives were liked in the selection tours held in Julfa, Sharur, Sadarak, Kangarli and Babek regions. In the main round held in Nakhchivan State Children's Theater, "Gulustan" (Julfa region), "Sharur gonchalari" (Sharur region) children's halay ensemble, "Tejgar" (Sadarak region), "Sari gelin" halay, "Sevinj" children's halay, children's halay collectives of Gabilli village Culture House (Kangarli region), "Babek", "Sabina", "Buta" (Babak region), halay group of Badamli Village Culture House (Shahbuz region) once again showed their talents and abilities.

In the main round, which lasted about two hours, various halay dances were performed along with Azerbaijani folk dances. The winners were invited to the stage again after announcing the decision of jury. "Sharur gonchalari" Children's Halay Ensemble was in the I, "Tejgar" halay collective of Sadarak Children's Music School was in the II, "Sevinj" Children's Halay Ensemble of the Shahtakhti Village Culture House of Kangarli region was in the III place on halay. "Gulustan" dancing group of Julfa region was in the I, "Buta" dance group of Kultepe Village Culture House of Babek region was in the II, "Babek" dance group of Babek region Culture House was in the III place on dance.

The final concert of halay and dance groups is planned.
