445 visitors visited the museums of the autonomous republic in 2017

In 2017 a number of measures were carried out in the autonomous republic in the field of preservation, protection and promotion of national values, the events related to remarkable and historical days were continued, jubilees of prominent art figures were celebrated. The festivals "Talented children-2017", "Plum", "Kete", "Beekeeping products-Honey" and "Family farm products" made a great impression on residents and visitors of the autonomous republic. Last year, the work of the museum's activities at the level of the requirements of the day and expanding the museum network was continued in the ancient land. For this purpose, the Shahtakhtinski museum was rebuilt, the preparatory work on the execution of the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On the establishment of the Nakhchivan Salt Museum” dated September 12, 2017 began. In total, 445 thousand 747 visitors visited the museums which 110 thousand 425 of them were foreigners.  The residents of the ancient land actively participated in the enrichment of museum funds and 1340 exhibits were presented to our museums. Establishment of cultural service work for population in the libraries of the autonomous republic on the level of the requirements of the day was in the focus of attention, a number of measures were carried out to hold cultural and mass events and exhibitions. Regarding the execution of the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated August 28, 2017 "On the books that are necessary    to read", proper book sections were created in the libraries and 31 book discussions were held. In 2017, the libraries of the autonomous republic, in general, received 13,224 copies of printing products in 301 titles. The number of cultural events held in libraries was 552, the number of exhibitions was 441. Courses on "Organization of library work and modern requirements" were held and 96 librarians were given certificates.

Last year, 616 pupils graduated from children's music, art and artistic craftsmanship schools. In the 2016-2017 academic year, 990 pupils entered the music schools of different specialties. 15 of them are children with disabilities. Reporting concerts, master classes, methodological courses, intellectual games, painting and music competitions were held in music schools.

“The performance of the dance collectives” ended at the end of 2017 was also met with interest. 11 out of 22 contestants got the right for the main round. Winners and successful participants were awarded diplomas and honorary orders of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The concerts of Camera and Folk Instruments, Variety Orchestra of Nakhchivan State Philharmonic in the capital and regions of the autonomous republic were also welcomed. The activity of Nakhchivan State Children's Philharmonic was revived during this period and 17 talented children were involved in the music collectives of the Philharmonic.

The new performances prepared by the theater collectives were of great importance in the effective organization of leisure time for residents of the autonomous republic. Performances of Ali Amirli's "His two ribs", M.Maeterlinck's "Blue Bird" and H.Javid's "Iblis" were performed at Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater. Nakhchivan State Puppet Theater met the children with performances of "The key of intent", "Goychak Fatma" and "The revenge of goat". Nakhchivan State Children's Theater prepared "Little Prince", "We need Santa Claus and rabbit", “Laying a snare for someone” performances.

The Nakhchivan State Film Fund also actively participated in the meaningful and efficient leisure time of the population of the autonomous republic, 14 films were demonstrated in the regions of the autonomous republic in the frame "Azerbaijan Cinema Day" project.

Nakhchivan Culinary Center continued its work in the direction of study and promotion of our national cuisine. The Center takes an active part in collecting samples of culinary culture of Nakhchivan. Last year, 58 samples of culinary and 25 folklore samples were collected on national cuisine.

Consistent measures were implemented in the field of tourism development, promotion work was strengthened. The implemented measures increased the number of tourists coming to the autonomous republic. So, in 2017 more than 413 thousand tourists from other regions of our country and foreign countries came to the autonomous republic.
