Sara Azimova: “We united and made Nakhchivan the winner”.

My happiness is boundless as a young person.

After the announcement of this competition everyone was mobilized as one. We retained the leadership until the end of the competition. Regardless of their age every person from Nakhchivan was active in social networks. Fortunately, we have been voted not only from Nakhchivan, but from the different countries of the world. Our young people living and studying in European countries posted a two-minute video produced by Nakhchivan State Television on their pages and in different social groups, urged everyone to vote for Nakhchivan.

In a word we united and made Nakhchivan the winner. This victory was a double celebration for us. Because our Nakhchivan got the chance to be the second capital city in 2018. The Capital of Islamic Culture and the Youth Capital. That's why we have the right to be proud of our Nakhchivan.

I want to draw attention to an issue. It is known that the "Youth Capital" is selected for one year. During this period, the city provides active participation of youth in social, political, social, economic and cultural life, supports enhancing their intellectual and creative potential and implementing new ideas and projects. But these measures are being carried out in Nakhchivan for more than 20 years. With the attention and care of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, great support is provided to the comprehensive development of youth in the autonomous republic. For the Nakhchivan youth, who live in blockade, all conditions are created for them to grow up in a patriotic spirit. Since 1995, the youth actively participate in socio-political, economic and cultural life of the autonomous republic. Young talents have state care, their social problems are solved. Youth in Nakhchivan are promoting in science, education, economics, culture, public administration and other areas.

Youth centers, libraries, cultural houses, new educational buildings in higher education institutions, new secondary school buildings, Olympic sports complexes, sports centers are built and put into use of youth in the autonomous republic. At the same time, the leisure time of young people and their creative potential are also in the focus. All these give rise to the fact that the election of Nakhchivan as "Youth Capital" is not accidental.

There is no doubt that Nakhchivan will fulfill its pledge under the name "Youth Capital" properly, with highly organized events it will be in the first place in the project.
