The fourth round of drawing competition on the topic “National leader Heydar Aliyev through the eyes of young artists” was held at Nakhchivan City Chess School.
Speaking at the event, the director of Nakhchivan State Art Gallery, the member of Artists’ Union of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Hokuma Mammadli mentioned that the development of Azerbaijan culture, in particular, the development of fine art is connected with the name of the national leader Heydar Aliyev. The national leader paid great attention and care to painting art in all periods of his power. The prominent representatives of painting art such as Mikayil Abdullayev, Tahir Salahov, Sattar Bablulzadeh, Boyukagha Gasimzadeh, Maral Rahmanzadeh, Altay Hajiyev and others were awarded the highest titles and got state prizes.
It was emphasized that there was great care to the art of painting and Nakhchivan Artists’ Union was established in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic during national leader Heydar Aliyev’s power. The preparation of young cadres was in the spotlight.
It was noted that the drawing competition is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national leader, based on the events plan for 2017-2018 academic year related to the mutual activity of educational, cultural and tourism institutions. The competition aims to develop the creativity skills of school children in the autonomous republic, to form the spiritual, artistic and aesthetic outlook of young generation, to strengthen the senses of patriotism in children. The competition, which started in late October last year, was continued. During this period, the district stages of the competition were held in all districts of the autonomous republic. Successful students of different districts will take part in the final stage of the competition in April this year. Distinguished artist of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Sayyad Bayramov gave detailed information to the participants of the competition on fine art and sculpture examples dedicated to national leader Heydar Aliyev. It was noted that in recent years Nakhchivan artists have created many fine art samples dedicated to the great leader.
Then paintings by young artists were evaluated with the participation of the jury. At this stage of the competition held for Nakhchivan city, Mohammad Hasanli (secondary school No. 14) was awarded I, Mehdi Javadli (secondary school No. 1), Jabbar Aliyev (secondary school No. 8) II, Seymur Ibrahimbeyli (secondary school No.3) and Raul Akhundov (secondary school No. 5) were awarded with III place diplomas. Winners have the right to participate in the next stage of the competition. Five students who were distinguished in the competition were awarded Honorary decrees.
The previous stages of the competition, organized jointly by Nakhchivan State Art Gallery and the regional education departments of the autonomous republic, were held in all regions. The competition, which began on October 27, will end in April this year. Students of the VI-XI grade who have drawing ability are eligible to take part in the competition. The winners and successful participants will participate in the final event in Nakhchivan, will be awarded with diplomas and their exhibitions will be organized.
