The participants of the "Let's discover our country" tour-campaign visited Shahbuz on March 28.
The pupils got acquainted with the "Farma Shah" Limited Liability Company and then, they visited the Batabat Astrophysics Observatory. They were informed about the study of dynamics and physics of celestial bodies in the observatory. It was noted that because of the clean sky and suitable astronomical conditions of the autonomous republic, it is possible to observe and study all the celestial bodies, such as planets, comets, asteroids, stars and near galaxies, except the Sun.
The acquaintance with the Shahbuz State Nature Reserve started at the museum there. Schoolchildren were informed about the exhibits of flora and fauna in the reserve area. There are 2899 plant species in the reserve, many of them are iris species in different colors and smell, the Eastern tulips spreading in the mountains, fragrant wild carnations, orchids, paradoxical iris and others are endemic.
The acquaintance with Aghbulag Recreation Center which is the result of the initial activities in the field of rural tourism attracted the attention of the participants of the tour-campaign.
Then the students visited Nakhchivan State University. During the meeting with pupils at the conservatory, the rector of the university, correspondent member of ANAS Saleh Maharramov gave detailed information about the university. It was noted that about 6 thousand students study on 57 specialties in 12 faculties. Today more than 350 students from 12 countries study at this university. The university is successfully partnering with more than 80 well-known world universities and is represented in a number of international projects.
Schoolchildren also visited the Heydar Aliyev Military Lyceum in Nakhchivan. Head of the military lyceum, major-general Elman Orujov gave a speech about the school. He said that this special educational was established to improve the system of training of military personnel and meet the needs of the national army for professional staff. Today patriotic, highly educated physically healthy and disciplined young people are trained in this school. There are some of more than 2000 graduates that they award gold and silver medals and certificates of excellence. 10 graduates continue their education in the Republic of Turkey, 24 in military academies of Russian Federation, and others in the various military higher education institutions in our country. At present, about 600 cadets are studying at this school.
Then, the tour participants got acquainted with the corpuses and the dormitory. Heydar Aliyev Military Lyceum made a great impression on them.
Later, the pupils visited Duzdagh Physiotherapy Center and they were informed about this healthcare institution.
In the evening of the same day, a concert program was organized by students of Nakhchivan Music College for tour participants in "Duzdagh" hotel.
