According to the plan compiled by The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, on the eve of the movie in our districts during The Day of Azerbaijan Film, demonstration of our national-fictional films are being kept on going. On the occasion of this in “Bahar” cinema in Sharur city “In a southern city” was displayed. Before the demonstration of the film the director of State Film Fund of Nakhchivan Mirakif Seyidov delievered a speech and talked about difficulties and honored development way which Azerbaijan film profession has passed. It was mentioned that during these years hundreds of  high qualified fictional films, about 2000 documentaries, mass-scientific, more than 100 cartoons and other  film plots have been shot.

It was stressed that the fictional film “In a southern city” which is going to be demonstrated was shown on the screen in1969. The film director is Eldar Guliyev, the operator is Rasim Ojagov, the composer is Faraj Garayev. The soviet censorship prohibited the demonstration of the cinema after shotting the film. When the national leader of Azerbaijan people Heydar Aliyev came to power, this film could be shown on screen. The film shot in social narrative genre reflects the degeneracy of the soviet society. This film is about the people of one of the southern towns, their living and their labor. In the film  “In a southern city” our outstanding actors   Hasan Mammadov (Murad), Eldaniz Zeynalov (Tofig), Yusif Valiyev (Safarli), Sadig Huseynov (Babash), Talat Rahmanov (policeman) and others were shot in the film. This film attracts the attention from the point of view  the reality of the life events and mastership.
