In the frame of “Azerbaijan Film Day”, “The target is Baku. How Hitler lost the war for oil?” documentary was displayed in Nakhchivan State Film Fund.

Before the film was displayed, the director of Nakhchivan State Film Fund Mirakif Seyidov noted that although a lot of novels were written and films were shot about the role of Azerbaijani oil in winning the Second World War, this documentary reveals several interesting facts.

The history of Second World War, which is called “engines’ war”, is looked from a new aspect – from the aspect of the war for oil in the film.

The III stage of “the Contest of Folklor Songs and Tasnifs - 2016” was held in Ordubad

The III stage of “the Contest of Folklore Songs and Tasnifs - 2016”, which is organized by Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Culture and Tourism Ministry and State Television and Broadcasting Radio Committee, was held in the culture house of Ordubad city.

The purpose of the contest is to promote national music culture and art, and also to discover talented people on performing folklore songs and tasnifs. The first stage of competition round started on April, 29.

According to the Regulation, a jury was created consisting of the organization committee of the competition and well-known art figures of NAR. There was no limitation on age or education in the contest. The voting of teachers, who were the members of jury, to their own students was limited. Till the concert, participants train with ensemble with the help of professional teachers 2 times a week. The final concert of the contest is planning to be held in November, in Nakhchivan. The winners will be awarded in the final concert.

The 133rd theatre season ended with the stage play on writer Hamid Arzulu’s historical drama “Alinja Tower” in Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theatre named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh.

The 133^rd theatre season ended with the stage play on writer Hamid Arzulu’s historical drama “Alinja Tower” in Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theatre named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh.

Before the play, the representative of Nakhivan Autonomous Republic Culture and Tourism Ministry, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Republic, Kamran Guliyev talked about the honorable development of Nakhchivan theatre, its service in educating the audience and forming their aesthetic taste. It was emphasized that the theatre always keeps the richness of repertoire in the center of attention and considers the works about historical events important. According to the decree signed by the Chairman of Supreme Assembly on February 11, 2014, “On restoration of the historical monument “Alinja Tower” in Julfa”, “Alinjagala” historical monument and museum was opened on June, 17. In accordance with the decree, Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theatre again turned to writer Hamid Arzulu’s historical drama “Alinja Tower”. This year, the theatre will also play well-known writer Nariman Narimanov’s historical drama “King Nadir”.

A concert-lecture dedicated to the creativity of a prominent composer of Azerbaijan, Haji Khanmemmedov was held in the “Youth” Center of Nakhchivan city.

The presenter of event noted that during the period of creativity of more than 60 years, Haji Khanmemmedov composed many beautiful works in several genres. He entered our music history as a composer who composed a “Concert” for orchestra and kamancha. Prominent composer also composed unforgettable melodies to several musical comedies. Haji Khanmemmedov was also known as an author of beautiful songs. “Yasa, konul” (Live, my heart), “Arzuya bax, sevgilim” (Look to the wish, my love), “Gullu”, “Jeyran”, “Getme, amandir” (Do not go, please) songs are in the list of his most famous songs.
