The next seminar-training for museum guides at the House-Museum of Mammad Araz in Nursu village of Shahbuz region

The seminar-trainings for museum guides in the autonomous republic are going on. The next event took place at the House-Museum of Mammad Araz in Nursu village of Shahbuz region.

At the seminar-training held by the organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the consultant of the ministry Gumral Mamiyeva made a speech on the topic “The behavior rules of museum guides” and she mentioned that the trainings that have been holding since last year were important. Last year, 11 events were organized for the museum networks of the autonomous republic. The main purpose of the seminar-trainings for museum guides is to increase theoretical and practical knowledge of museum guides on excursion work in museums.

Conducted training seminars were useful for museum guides and museum guides were thoroughly familiar with the functions of the museum, as well as detailed information about the museum work. At the same time, training seminars are also important in terms of creating conditions for museum staff to get acquainted with museums located throughout the ancient land. Seminar-trainings are also held in the museums in different regions of the autonomous republic, which allows them to share their experiences with museums. In the seminar-training, museum guides are also told about innovations in this area, and their questions are answered. It was noted that the orders of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on the museums are an expression of care and attention to this area. These decrees have played an important role in raising interest in museums and building the museums’ activity. It was noted that in the autonomous republic, consistent measures are being taken to organize museum activities at the highest level. The construction of new buildings for our museums, their repair, reconstruction and strengthening of the material and technical base contribute to the increase of the level of work. All these require great responsibility from the museum guides. Today, it is very important for our museums to have well-versed, knowledgeable, foreign language speakers guides who have detailed information about the cultural center they work. It was noted that museum guides should be able to work with people of different backgrounds, schoolchildren and students, elderly generations, their courtesy and behavioral rules, dressing style, and intellectual outlook should make a good impression on those visiting the museum. Museum guides should pay attention to every citizen, be aware of museum work and innovations in the autonomous republic, carefully listen to their questions and answer scientifically. Today, the museum guide should constantly study our history, culture in order to give detailed information about our ancient land to the tourists who visit the autonomous republic. In the first half of 2017, there were more than 217,000 viewers, of which nearly 45,000 were foreigners. In the first half of 2017 nearly 800 exhibits were presented to our museum. Enriching museum funds should also encourage people working in this field. Exhibits presented by our citizens to the museums show that there are certain positive results in this area. It was stressed that seminars in museums will be continued by the end of the year.

On that day, a seminar-training was also held at the Shahbuz Region History-Ethnography Museum. The exhibitions of both museums were viewed by the presentation of the museum guides.

In the end the excursion text was discussed and methodical recommendations were given to museum guides.
