“World Tourism Day. We present Nakhchivan” internet campaign

There are great opportunities for the development of different types of tourism in the autonomous republic. The rapid social-economical progress achieved in recent years has opened new opportunities for the comprehensive development of this area. The study and expansion of tourism resources, the organization of necessary services for the needs of tourists and their adaptation to modern standards, increasing the number of hotels and other tourism facilities, and continuing measures to increase the number of tourist routes have their real results. The main objective is to achieve turning tourism into a sustainable, effective and competitive field in the autonomous republic. As a result of measures taken in this direction, more than 243 thousand tourists came to the autonomous republic within 8 months of this year.

The use of internet campaign and social networking resources is crucial for demonstrating and propagating the natural beauty, marvelous nature, tourism opportunities of the autonomous republic.

Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center held an internet campaign on the occasion of September 27 - World Tourism Day “World Tourism Day. We present Nakhchivan”, it was widely reported. About 1000 photos and over 150 videos were prepared in10 sections to use in the campaign.

On the official website of Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center, “World Tourism Day. We present Nakhchivan” section was added, prepared materials were loaded here.

These materials were sent to the websites of tourism information centers, tourism companies and   accommodation facilities operating in our country and shared on social networks.

More than 500 employees and students on the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic participated in the campaign, more than 10,000 shares have been made. More than 90,000 views of the shared materials were recorded.

During the campaign, there were nearly 76,000 views on the website of the Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center   and 158 different photos and videos were sent from the site and 2500 shares were posted on the center’s social network pages.

Totally, 550 individuals and 1 group participated in the campaign. The number of group members   is about 13,000 people.
