Open lesson at the Museum of Heydar Aliyev

The open lesson titled “Great leader Heydar Aliyev is the liberator and founder of independent Azerbaijan” was held at the Museum of Heydar Aliyev in Nakhchivan city with the participation of the students school No2. At the event the guide of the museum Hafiza Seyidzadeh delivered a lecture.

It was noted that unparalleled services of the great personality  during the both periods of his leadership in our country provided Azerbaijan’s independence, as well as its contemporary development.

It was noted that the activity of prominent state figure Heydar Aliyev in Nakhchivan in 1990-1993  is a very important milestone in terms of achieving, strengthening and developing Azerbaijan’s independence. It was during this period that the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic adopted a decision on our state symbols, the words “soviet socialist” removed from Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and important steps were taken to secure the autonomous republic. At the same time, the foundation of bilateral relations with Turkey and Iran was laid.

It was stressed that the demand of the people, the crisis in the country, the powerlessness, chaos, and uncertainties caused by the political illiteracy and incompetence of those in power at that time, the occupation of a part of our lands and the real threat to our country’s independence required the return of the prominent statesman Heydar Aliyev to political power in Azerbaijan on June 15, 1993. Thus, June 15 included the history of our people as the National Salvation Day. Return of the national leader Heydar Aliyev to the political power in Azerbaijan in 1993 turned into a turning point in the socio-political, socio-economic, scientific and cultural life of the country and international relations, the process of independent state building based on scientific bases began. As a result of the urgent measures undertaken by the great leader, the enemy was forced to sign a ceasefire agreement in May 1994, which was afraid of the Azerbaijani Army’s counterattack, the creation of the armed forces capable of protecting the national interests of our country began. At the same time, the “Contract of the Century”, which played an important role in the economic development of independent Azerbaijan, was signed in September of the same year. Then, in a very short period of time, Azerbaijan has rapidly developed and occupied a worthy place among the world’s states.

It was noted that today Azerbaijan is confidently leading the way of great leader Heydar Aliyev. Successes are achieved in all areas under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. While living in the blockade,  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is rapidly developing, and the towns, settlements and villages are being rebuilt. Over the past period defense capability of the autonomous republic has been strengthened, macroeconomic stability has been established, economic development has been boosted and population living standards have been improved. All this is the fidelity to the great leader Heydar Aliyev and the result of the renaissance of the National Salvation.
