On October 11, at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic the meeting was held with students of Nakhchivan State University and “Nakhchivan” University on the specialty of Tourism and Hotel management concerning the execution of the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On giving voluntary assistance to specialties in higher and secondary specialized education institutions by special organizations”.

Opening the event, Akbar Novruzov, Head of Tourism Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, spoke about the purpose and significance of such events. It was noted that the events associated with tourism play an important role in the development of students’ professional skills and outlook.

It was noted that the measures taken for the development of tourism in the autonomous republic of Nakhchivan become dynamic year by year. As a result of the attention and care of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, treatment centers were reconstructed, infrastructure in our cities and villages was developed in line with modern requirements, which led to an increase in the number of tourists coming to the autonomous republic.

At the meeting, collaborator of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Ayaz Aliyev made a speech on the topic “The role of advertising and promotion in tourism” and talked about the importance of advertising in propagation of tourism resources and various ways of propaganda.

Then, director of Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center Gulnara Sadigova stated that the Tourism Information Center plays an important role in promoting the tourism potential of the autonomous republic. There are extensive information resources at the center to promote the tourism potential of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The Tourism Information Center utilizes Internet resources efficiently. She also spoke about the propaganda in the direction of promotion of the center and the tourism potential of the autonomous republic. It was emphasized that regular meetings like these would make a great contribution to the preparation of highly qualified cadres.
