The third tour of the drawing contest on “Great leader Heydar Aliyev through the eyes of young artists” was held in the Chess School of Sharur region on November 24.
Hokuma Mammadli, the Director of Nakhchivan State Art Gallery, the member of the Union of Artists of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic said that the development of Azerbaijani culture, including its fine arts, is connected with the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev. When the great leader was in power, he paid great attention to painting.
It was noted that the drawing contest is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the great personality in accordance with the action plan for the 2017-2018 academic year related to the effective organization of interaction of educational, cultural and tourism institutions. The contest aims to further develop the creative abilities of the students in the autonomous republican schools, form a moral, artistic and aesthetic outlook of the younger generation and further enhance patriotism in the young.
Then drawings of young artists were evaluated by jury. At this tour of the contest held in Sharur region Nisabayim Babayeva (Mughancig-Mehrab village, 9th grade) won the I place certificate, Sinan Hasanov (Sarkhanli village, 10th grade), Chinar Mammadov (Demirchi village, 9th grade) were in the II, Nuray Mammadova (Aralig village, 8th grade), Mahammad Gozalov (Demirchi village, 11th grade) were in the III place. The winners have the right to participate in the next tour of the contest.
The previous tours of the contest organized jointly by the Nakhchivan State Art Gallery and the regional education departments of the Autonomous Republic were held in Ordubad and Sadarak regions. The contest, began on October 27, will end in late March next year. Students of the VI-XI grades, have ability to draw, are eligible to take part in the contest. Distinctive schoolchildren will take part in the closing event to be held in March in Nakhchivan. Winners of the competition and distinguished ones will be awarded with diplomas.
