The Military Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan visited Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

On March 14, the Military Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan Ali Seyf visited Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. On March 15, in the frame of the visit the guest first visited the monument of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the main square of the city, visited the Museum of Heydar Aliyev.

The guest was detailed informed about the exhibits of the museum reflecting the childhood and youth, education years, the first work activity of the national leader, the first period of his power in Azerbaijan in1969-1982, the period that he lived and worked in Moscow, his return to Nakhchivan, the years when he ruled the autonomous republic and the documents reflecting cooperation relations between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Islamic Republic of Iran, historical photos and other valuable exhibits.

The Military Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan Ali Seyf met with Commander-in-Chief of the Detached Combined Arms Army, lieutenant-general Karam Mustafayev. Ali Seyf said he thoroughly impressed the comprehensive development of the autonomous republic, expressed his gratitude for the hospitality.

Commander-in-Chief of the Detached Combined Arms Army, lieutenant-general Karam Mustafayev   said that the foundation of existing cooperation between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran was laid by the great leader Heydar Aliyev, and noted that this cooperation is successfully continued in all spheres. It was noted that the comprehensive development of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic made important achievements in the field of army building.

In the second half of the day, Military Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan, Ali Seyf, visited "Nakhchivan" Detached Border Division. At the meeting with the commander of "Nakhchivan" Detached Border Division, major general Asaf Guliyev, the sides emphasized the high level of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and emphasized that border service played a special role in the development of these ties.

During the meeting, both sides expressed their confidence that the cooperation in the protection of borders and the development of mutual relations will be continued on an increasing level.

It should be noted that the consul general of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Nakhchivan Mansur Ayrom attended the meetings.
