Exhibition of works by participants of IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity"

According to the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic "On Approval of the Action Plan for Holding the 95th Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic", the 95th anniversary of our nationwide leader was marked by a series of events in the autonomous republic. In accordance with the Action Plan, the IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity" dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Nakhchivan on May 21-24.

An exhibition of works drawn at the festival opened at the Exhibition Hall named after Bahruz Kangarli in the Artists' Union of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on May 24.

Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov attended the opening of the exhibition.

Chairwoman of the Artists' Union of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulviyya Hamzayeva said that the participants of IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity", which was held since May 21, went on excursions to the historical and natural monuments and sights of the autonomous republic. On May 23, the festival was inaugurated at the Ajami Space in Nakhchivan city, and artists from different parts of the world drew pictures on Nakhchivan. An exhibition of these works is being opened today.

Turkish artist Birsan Chakar said: "Holding high level international drawing festival in Nakhchivan and the created conditions are regarded by all artists as a care for art and craftsmen. On the first day of the festival, we did not imagine so many paintings to be drawn. However, acquaintance with the historical monuments, nature, modern development of Nakhchivan and hospitality inspired each artist to work more diligently. The drawings of Nakhchivan by the festival participants and the opening of the exhibition in the shortest possible time confirm that once again. We will continue to promote these facilities offered for artists in Nakhchivan in our future activities. Birsan Chakar said that the offered facilities and the attention paid were praiseworthy and thanked the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis on behalf of all festival participants.

The Ukrainian artist Evgeny Smirnov said the festival had been organized at a high level and he presented his drawing "Village at the mountains" to the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis.

Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov thanked the artists for their participation in the IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity" dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, saying that each people has such personalities in its history and life. Our national leader Heydar Aliyev is also a great personality in the history and life of the Azerbaijani people. Each year in the autonomous republic various events are held in honor of the great leader's anniversary. The IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity", organized according to the Action Plan approved on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, is also one of such events.

The Chairman of the Supreme Majlis said: The IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity" is a significant event. Because the festival is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev. There are people whose lives turn into a nation's fate and history of a country. The life of great leader Heydar Aliyev is the fate of the Azerbaijani people and the history of the state of Azerbaijan. Every year, different events are held to preserve this history and hand it down the next generations. Heydar Aliyev's path, Heydar Aliyev's personality is taught to the younger generation, and told the people, artists and other employees involved in the events held in our autonomous republic. The fact that the artists from different countries have united in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of 95th anniversary of our nationwide leader in the international drawing festival, has further enhanced the importance of the festival. Artists participating in the festival contributed to the 95th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev.

The Chairman of the Supreme Majlis expressed his confidence that the participants of the IV International Drawing Festival "Nakhchivan - Cradle of Humanity" would return to their countries with pleasant emotions, extend his congratulations on the successful finish of the festival and thanked the organizers.

The festival was attended by 35 artists from Turkey, Iran, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia, Finland, Slovenia, Egypt, Oman and Poland, and 28 artists from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and our country. 65 paintings by artists are demonstrated in the exhibition hall.

"Trees blossom" by Ukrainian artist Evgeny Smirnov, "Garabagh" by Iranian artist Said Ayyami, "Coast of Araz" and "Nakhchivan in flowers" by Turkish artists Basri Ardam and Hulya Sezgin, "Dream world" by Russian artist Diana Arslanova, "Hachadag" by Polish artist Katya Sokolova Zizak, "My Nakhchivan" by Kazakh artist Olga Eren, "Garabagh horse" by Finn artist Deyzi Strausa, "History of Hachadag" by Slovenian artist Nik Anikis,  "Legend of Nakhchivan" by young Azerbaijani painter Bahruz Kangarli, "Drawing Festival in Nakhchivan" by Eldar Zeynalov, "Moon of the East" by Javid Ismayilov, "Preserve the History" by Telman Abdinov and other works reveal the great imagination and professionalism of the artists.

Slovenian artist Polona Loborek, Kazakh artist Olga Eren and others expressed their satisfaction of the acquaintance with Nakhchivan and noted that they will participate in the following festivals. Slovenian artist Nick Anikis noted that he wanted to mention Nakhchivan's connection with the Noah's storm in his work, saying that the value to the art, the conditions created for the artists were another eminence of Nakhchivan with ancient history and rich culture.
