According to the Decree of Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On supporting innovation and additional measures for giving voluntary assistance to the specialties in higher and secondary education institutions by relevant organization” dated April 3, 2019, the internship of the fourth year students studying the specialties of “Tourism and hotel management” of Nakhchivan State and “Nakhchivan” universities continues. According to the schedule the students got acquainted with the activities of the “Saat Meydani” Hotel on December 14, 2020. Suleyman Rustamov, Leading Adviser of the Statistics and Certification Sector of the Tourism Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic gave a speech and said that accommodation service is one of the most important components of a trip in tourism. After the restoration of our independence valuable improvements paved the way to the development of tourism in our autonomous republic. Modern Nakhchivan already welcomes its guests in hotels operating in accordance with the requirements of the new era. According to increased demands in our autonomous republic, expansion of the hotel network, construction of new hotel buildings is relevant.
The lecturer told students about organization of hotel activities, types of hotels, evaluation of hotels and hotel-type institutions, rules of application of state standards in these institutions, their general concept and main criteria for distinguishing categories of hotels and hotel-type facilities, procedures and legislation requirements. It was noted that according to the Decision №143 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated August 19, 2020 the "Rules of organizations of hotel activities during the coronavirus pandemic" have been approved in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. In order to protect the health of hotel staff and guests in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the current research on coronavirus infection, the experience and recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations World Tourism Organization, the European Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes and Bars, including necessary sanitary and hygiene requirements implementing in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, preventive measures reflected in the rules developed on the basis of the relevant methodological guidelines, as well as the experience of foreign countries and cities that have achieved successful indicators of protection and control of respiratory diseases are designed to reduce the risk of infection.
The industrial experience will last until the end of December.
