Vice President of the World Chess Federation: "The autonomous republic plays a central role in holding international tournaments on chess in recent years"

Delegation led by Gulkiz Tulay, the vice president of the World Chess Federation, the president of Chess Federation of the Republic of Turkey has arrived in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

First, the guests visited the monument of national leader Heydar Aliyev erected in the main square of our city and Heydar Aliyev Museum.

The delegation visited Children-Youth Chess Schools operating in Julfa, Ordubad and Babek, they watched the lesson and met with young chess players who succeeded in the tournaments.

The guests who were interested in the activity of the Duzdag Physiotherapy Center were informed that clean air in Nakhchivan, dry and sunny days in the climate keep the humidity level in the hospital normal. The center, which is of great importance for the development of medical tourism, also receives patients from many countries around the world.

Salt Museum was launched in Nakhchivan

The Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic signed a Decree on September 12, 2017 “On establishing Salt Museum in Nakhchivan”. Over the past period, measures carried out in direction of execution of the decree, Nakhchivan Salt Museum was established in “Duzdagh” hotel.

On April 25, Nakhchivan Salt Museum was launched.

The Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening.

The chairman of Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS, academician Ismayil Hajiyev delivered a speech at the event and stated that in the years of independence the comprehensive study of Nakhchivan history started, the symposium on “Nakhchivan in international sources” was an important step in this field. The symposiums held on bases of the relevant decrees of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis, “Prophet Noah, World storm and Nakhchivan”, “Nakhchivan: first settlement and urban site”, “Nakhchivan: initial city and Duzdagh” and other symposiums played an important role to study the history, culture, natural richness of Nakhchivan. As in other regions of the autonomous republic, during the international archaeological expedition in Duzdagh, a great number of material and cultural samples were discovered, and significant scientific results were obtained.

A new director was appointed to the Tourism Department of the Autonomous Republic-DECREE

On April 24, the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov signed a decree on appointing Akbar Novruzov as director of Tourism Department of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

According to Naxcivantv.az, the decree states:

“Governed by the22nd paragraph of II Part of Article 5 of the Constitution of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, I hereby resolve:

To appoint Akbar Nadir oglu Novruzov as director of Tourism Department of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”.

It should be noted that the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov signed a Decree on measures to improve state administration in the sphere of culture and tourism on April 23. On the basis of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Ministry of Culture of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Tourism Department of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were established by that decree.

Natavan Gadimova was appointed as the minister of culture-ORDER

On April 24, the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov signed an order on appointing Natavan Gadimova as the minister of culture of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

According to Naxcivantv.az, the order states:

“Governed by the22nd paragraph of II Part of Article 5 of the Constitution of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, I hereby order:

To appoint Natavan Tofig gizi Gadimova as the minister of culture of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”.
