In the autonomous republic, the preservation of handicrafts created by artists and their demonstration to local and foreign guests is in the center of attention. One of these places is the Nakhchivan State Painting Gallery, which operates in the autonomous republic, where pictures of various artists are displayed to visitors.
In accordance with the schedule drawn up by the Department of Tourism of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, on March 17, 2023, an excursion to the Nakhchivan State Art Gallery was organized for the fourth-year students of the Nakhchivan State University majoring in "Tourism and Hotel Management" to familiarize themselves with the handiwork of artists.
During the excursion, the students were informed about the Nakhchivan State Art Gallery, which operates as a museum-type institution in the Heydar Aliyev Palace. It was stated that the main goal of the gallery, which was created in 1981 on the initiative of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, is to preserve the artists' handiwork, and at the same time to pass it on to future generations. It was emphasized that there are up to 500 works of more than 150 artists in the fund of the gallery, and valuable works of landscape, composition and various genres of outstanding brush masters are displayed in the exposition.
On March 3, 2023, an event related to "March 3 - World Wildlife Day" was held in the Tourism Department of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with the participation of tourism industry representatives and "tourism volunteers of Nakhchivan". Akbar Novruzov, the director of the Department, who opened the event with his opening speech, said that starting from 2013, every year March 3 is celebrated as "World Wildlife Day". The purpose of holding this day is to attract the attention of society to the protection of wild fauna and wild flora, to call the public to take care of wild nature and to educate in this field.For this purpose, the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Tourism Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the "Joint Action Plan for the Development of Tourism in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the years 2020-2023" in accordance with the section on the preparation of hiking routes based on mountain trails in the ecotourism section , Togrul Jafarov, an expert on ecotourism of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, was invited to the autonomous republic to identify mountain trails. The expert visited the Shahbuz, Julfa, Sharur and Ordubad regions of the autonomous republic together with the employee of the Tourism Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, inspected the natural areas and evaluated the places suitable for mountain trails.
In accordance with the schedule drawn up by the Tourism Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, an excursion to the Heydar Aliyev Museum was organized for the 4th year students of the Nakhchivan State University majoring in "Tourism and Hotel Management" during their industrial experience. Here, the students were informed about the history of the museum, it was said that the Heydar Aliyev Museum was established on February 18, 1999 and started to operate on May 10, 1999. On October 13, 1999, national leader Heydar Aliyev visited the museum and got acquainted with the exposition here during his visit to the autonomous republic. Historical photos of the Great Leader taken during his visit to the museum are displayed here. The exhibits in the museum include books, newspapers and magazines that reflect the social and political activities of the outstanding statesman, his life path, historic decisions and orders elaborated and adopted by him as a deputy of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly, signed protocols and agreements, letters and students were informed about telegrams, memorabilia used by him, carpets woven in honor of the Great Leader, portraits, historical photos and documentaries.
The fourth-year students of Nakhchivan State University majoring in "Tourism and Hotel Management" visited the Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center operating under the Department on February 27 and 28, 2023, according to the schedule drawn up during the industrial experience period. The students got acquainted with the working principle of the center and were given extensive information about the history of the building.It was reported that the Zaviya-Madrasa building is a historical-architectural monument in the Zaviya district of Nakhchivan city. "Zaviya", which means "nook", "edge" and "corner" in Arabic, is one of the names of the abodes belonging to the Sufi sect. The external architectural appearance, plan structure and unique composition of the monument belonging to the Nakhchivan school of architecture show that it is a product of the rich construction traditions of the 17th-18th centuries. It was reported that since 2012, the Center has been operating in the Zaviya-Madrasa building, a historical architectural monument of the 17th-18th centuries.
The production experience of IV year students of Nakhchivan State University studying "Tourism and Hotel Management" has been started. In accordance with the schedule, the students first visited the Tourism Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and got acquainted with the Department's activities in the practice that started on February 17, 2023. They were given information about the working principles of the "Development and promotion of tourism", "Statistics and certification" and also "Finance-economics and general affairs" sectors.According to the prepared schedule, the production experience of the students continued in the organizations operating under the Department. So, on February 24, 2023, the students got acquainted with the working principle of the "National Dishes" public catering LLC operating under the "Nakhchivan Cuisine" Culinary Center. Here, the students were introduced to the activities of the Center and "National Dishes" public catering LLC. In the center, the students were informed about the Nakhchivan city ice house, where the "Nakhchivan Cuisine" Culinary Center and the "National Dishes" public catering LLC are located.It was reported that due to the high architectural design, the building was probably built in the 12th-14th centuries, when the Nakhchivan school of architecture developed.
