The students’ internship continues

According to the Decree of Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On supporting innovation and additional measures for giving voluntary assistance to the specialties in higher and secondary education institutions by relevant organization” dated April 3, 2019, the internship of the fourth year students studying the specialties of “Tourism and hotel management” of Nakhchivan State and “Nakhchivan” universities continues. According to the schedule the students got acquainted with the activities of the “Saat Meydani” Hotel on December 14, 2020. Suleyman Rustamov, Leading Adviser of the Statistics and Certification Sector of the Tourism Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic gave a speech and said that accommodation service is one of the most important components of a trip in tourism. After the restoration of our independence valuable improvements paved the way to the development of tourism in our autonomous republic. Modern Nakhchivan already welcomes its guests in hotels operating in accordance with the requirements of the new era. According to increased demands in our autonomous republic, expansion of the hotel network, construction of new hotel buildings is relevant.

A seminar on “National cuisine of Nakhchivan” held

On December 10, 2020, “Nakhchivan cuisine” Culinary Center held a seminar on “National cuisine of Nakhchivan” for students studying in the specialty “Technology teaching” at the Nakhchivan State University. Matanat Guliyeva, the head of the chair “Methods of teaching” of the pedagogical faculty of the Nakhchivan State University made an opening speech at the event. She noted that such events play an important role in the study and promotion of national culinary samples.

Later, Sitara Rustamova, the director of the “Nakhchivan cuisine” Culinary Center informed the students extensively aboutthe activities of the Center. The speaker stated that according to the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated April 9, 2009 “Nakhchivan cuisine” Culinary Center was established. Collection, preservation, studying systematically, development and promotion of samples of ancient cuisine as well as customs and traditions of our national cuisine and sample of folklore are the main courses of activity of “Nakhchivan cuisine” Culinary Center.

An excursion to Ordubad city with the participation of tourism volunteers organized

According to the pedestrian route program of Ordubad city excursion was organized for the participants of the “Tourism volunteer” project in December 8, 2020.

Before the excursion, Suleyman Rustamov, Leading Adviser of the Statistics and Certification Sector of the Tourism Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, said that according to the Decree of Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On supporting innovations and additional measures for giving voluntary assistance to the specialties in higher and secondary education institutions by relevant organizations ” dated April 3, 2019, the specialty of “Tourism and hotel management” of Nakhchivan State and “Nakhchivan” Universities were given voluntary assistance by the Tourism Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Different events are regularly held, students are provided to undergo a period of training in both the Department and institutions subordinated to the Department, as well as in hotels and tourism companies in Nakhchivan, excursions are organized to museums and historical monuments by the Department in order to improve professional training of students who are studying this profession and to form them as experienced staff.

Nakhchivan-Ashabi-Kahf-Nakhchivan route launched

The route Nakhchivan-Ashabi-Kahf-Nakhchivan was launched on May 18. Due to the received information from Natig Hasanov, head of sector of the State Transport Service of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic stated that, as a result of the attention and care of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the dynamic development of the Autonomous Republic, as well as other spheres, has had a positive impact on the transport sector and the measures taken in this direction created favorable conditions for the comfort of people. He noted that the new Nakhchivan-Ashabi-Kahf route is started in order to ensure the comfortable travel of many tourists, pilgrims, visitors, as well as residents of the autonomous republic, who want to go to the "Ashabi-Kahf Sanctuary" Religious and Cultural Monument Complex, which has ancient beliefs, miraculous secrets. Being two times a day route will be departing from the bus station in Nakhchivan at 8:30 and 14:00 to Ashabi-Kahf, at 12:00 and 17:00 and vice versa. Taking into account the passenger density, there will be four routes on Saturdays and Sundays. The bus stops are defined in front of the “Tabriz” and “Grand” hotels, as well as the “Cahan” Trade Center, to help the guests coming to the autonomous republic to benefit from this route efficiently.

Tourism Department of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic built his activity in the direction of executing the obligation. Passing of the industrial experience of tourism and hotel management faculty students of third course of Nakhchivan State University and “Nakhchivan” University in hotels have been organized on April 15, 2019 in this stage.

An expert group was established in the Tourism Department in order to adopt projects under the motto "From Idea to Beginning". On April 30, Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center hosted a meeting with students studying in tourism and hotel management specialties at Nakhchivan State University and “Nakhchivan” University on "Preparation of startups on tourism".
