The solo concert of the talented student caused interest

On December 21, the solo concert of IV-year student on vocal specialty of Nakhchivan Music College Emin Huseynov took place at “Ganlik” Center.

Before the concert it was noted that the college established with order and initiative of the national leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev in 1974, which began its activity on 4 specialties, was called Nakhchivan Secondary Special Music Technical School until 1992. Since 2005 it has been working as Nakhchivan Music College. At present cadres are prepared on 10 specialties in the college.

It was stressed that on the basis of the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated March 29, 2017 “On holding the 40^th anniversary of Nakhchivan Music College”, the anniversary of this educational center was marked widely.

It was mentioned that Nakhchivan Music College established with the purpose of to prepare qualified music cadres, to involve talented young people to get music education, to preserve our national instruments and folk songs, to study works of classical and world composers, contributes to prepare young musicians today. Emin Huseynov is one of the successful students of the college.

In November, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic held events on the occasion of remarkable and historical days, the activity of the museums were in the focus of the attention, the seminar-training for museum guides was held at Nakhchivan State Art Gallery. During the month, more than 40 collectives of the ministries, committees and head offices operating in the autonomous republic were acquainted with museums, totally 51 thousand 748 people visited the museums which 16 thousand 575 of them were foreigners. The museums received 120 new exhibits last month.

The music collectives and ensembles of Nakhchivan State Philarmony, Nakhchivan State Children’s Philarmony, Nakhchivan City Culture and Tourism Department, Nakhchivan Music College performed interesting concert programs in the festivals and other events held in the autonomous republic.

Last month the work in the field of studying and promoting the tourism potential of the autonomous republic was continued. Thus, Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center sent totally 137 materials to 12 foreign countries, more than 130 tourism companies operating in the country, 13 tourism information centers in the regions. The webpage of the center on “Facebook” social network had 22 thousand 572 views, and “Youtube” channel 35 thousand 252 views.

Musical-intellectual game "Lira" was held

On December 20, the Youth Center of Nakhchivan hosted a musical-intellectual game "Lira" among the students of children's musical, art and crafts schools organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Before starting the game, it was stated that all the children's musical and artistic arts schools of the Autonomous Republic had participating in the music and intellectual game "Lira" organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and schedule was drawn up. Under the schedule, according to the results of games during the 2017-2018 academic year, the winner teams will participate in the final round in mid-2018. The purpose of holding these games is to help students increase their knowledge and to raise their intellectual level.

It was noted that 6 teams are participating in today's match. Then the teams "Shur" (Babek Region Nehram Village Children's Music School), "Jangi" (Sharur Region Aralig Village Children's Music School), "Nuh yurdu" (Kangarli Region Children's Music School), "Ballada" (Nakhchivan City Children's Music School No.1 named after M.Mammadov), "Buta" (Julfa City Children's Music School) and "Accent" (Ordubad Region Vanand Village Children's Music School) were presented to the participants.

A meeting with Professor Tofig Bakikhanov, the prominent composer, People's Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic, with the Order of "Glory", was held Nakhchivan Composers' Union.

Yashar Khalilov, the Chairman of the Union, Honored Art Worker of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, opened the event, said that Tofiq Bakikhanov's activities as a public music figure is very rich. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan Composers' Union since 1958. Tofig Bakikhanov got rewards for his activities in music by the state. Today, a certificate confirming that he was elected Honorary Member of the Nakhchivan Composers' Union is presented to the composer, who has a close creative connection with Nakhchivan.

The presentation of the books by Gunay Mammadova, the responsible secretary of Nakhchivan Composers' Union, PhD in Study of Art, "Tofiq Bakikhanov: Joy of Nakhchivan" and "The Composer Nariman Mammadov", its scientific editor was Tofiq Bakikhanov was held. The author thanked Tofig Bakikhanov, who helped her in the working out process of books, and said she planned to prepare a book about the foreign trips of the well-known composer in the future.

People's Artist, prominent composer Nariman Mammadov's 90th anniversary was celebrated

Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater named after Jalil Mammadguluzade hosted an event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of prominent composer Nariman Mammadov, People's Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic, on December 19.

Natavan Gadimova, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic said that Nariman Mammadov, People's Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic is one of the most prominent figures of Nakhchivan music culture. He was born on December 28, 1928 in Nakhchivan. He got his first musical education in Nakhchivan, graduated from Baku Musical Technical School named after Asaf Zeynalli, and composed his first "Suite" in these years. The suite was performed for the first time by the instrumental orchestra performed by prominent composer and conductor Said Rustamov.

It is noted that Nariman Mammadov, who successfully graduated from the Azerbaijan State Conservatory, is the author of 7 symphonies, several suites, "Azerbaijan" oratorios and three cantatas, musical comedies, as well as "Humay" and "Sheikh Sanan" ballets.
