On May 16, 2017, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree on celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. According to the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated January 25, 2018, "Action Plan on holding the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" was approved.
An event dedicated to the 100th jubilee of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was held in the main square of Nakhchivan - in front of Heydar Aliyev Museum on May 28.

An exhibition of works drawn at the festival opened at the Exhibition Hall named after Bahruz Kangarli in the Artists' Union of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on May 24.

On May 22, “My Nakhchivan” photo-exhibition by Nakhchivani well-known young photographer Huseyn Bagirav was launched at “Gallery-1969” in Baku.
At the exhibition which outstanding scientific, culture and art figures of the republic, as well as deputies of Milli Majlis participated, the guests first watched a video dedicated to Nakhchivan.
The head of Permanent Representation of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in Baku Bakhtiyar Asgarov made a speech stating the importance of the exhibition. Bakhtiyar Asgarov highlighted the importance of the exhibition's dedication to Nakhchivan and underlined the importance of the photos in terms of meaning and content in the exposition. He noted that the photo-exhibition has great importance in terms of promoting, propagating the mysterious nature of Nakhchivan.
