On April 20, 2018 children's department of the Nakhchivan City Centralized Library System named after I.Gasimov held a reading day devoted to the life and creativity of prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature Suleyman Rustam. Suleyman Rustam's life and creativity was highlighted and noted that Suleyman Rustam had an important place in the centuries-old history of our poetry. S.Rustam came to the poetry in the early 20s. The Nakhchivan State Film Fund demonstrated the film "The man of the third day" to the people of Shahtakhti village of Kangarli region on April 20 within the framework of the "Day of Azerbaijani Cinema" initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The operator of the film is Rafig Guliyev, the composer is Firudin Allahverdi. The main roles were played by Hikmet Rahimov, Rasim Jafar, Mehriban Zaki and others.
The film is in the genre of psychological drama, and it is about a person from Kalbajar region, he was under arrest on the eve of Garabagh incidents, after his release he sought ways to visit his parents’ graves in the occupied land.
On April 20, the 112th anniversary of the launch of the "Molla Nasraddin" magazine was celebrated at the House Museum of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh in Nakhchivan.
Kamala Tahirova, the acting director of the House Museum of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, made an opening speech at the event, and said that the magazine "Molla Nasraddin", which is the herald of progressive ideas, entered the history of the Azerbaijani press forever. The magazine and the editor began to work under the name of "Molla Nasraddin" and it was due to their commitment to the ancient and rich national folk literary traditions and Eastern coloring. An open lesson on "Azerbaijan Democratic Republic - our history of honor and dignity" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was held at the Babak Region History-Ethnography Museum on April 19 with the participation of pupils of Nehram village secondary school №2.

It was noted that on May 28, 1918, the Declaration of Independence, which declared the independence of Azerbaijan, was adopted. The newly established Azerbaijan Democratic Republic fulfilled its historic task with honor and dignity with full effort. The first Parliament and Government of Azerbaijan, the state machinery were established, the borders of the country were determined. In particular, the State Flag and Coat of Arms were created, the Azerbaijani language was declared a state language and important measures were taken in the field of state building.
