Students from Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic visited the National Museum of History and National Art Museum of Azerbaijan as part of the tour under the motto "Let's discover our country" on March 18.
First, pupils got acquainted with exhibits reflecting the great history of our country at the National Museum of Azerbaijan History of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The students were informed about various exhibits of different ages, as well as archaeological materials found during archaeological excavations in Aghdam, Nakhchivan, Mingachevir, Shamkir, Gobustan and other cities and regions there. The exhibition "Azerbaijan Shirvanshahs" in the museum is of great interest for pupils.
It was noted that in the museum more than 300 thousand exhibits of different periods are preserved.
Then the pupils got acquainted with the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan. Students got information about the museum's activities, exhibits of different ages protected there.
In the frame of tour-campaign “Let’s discover our country”, schoolchildren from Nakhchivan got acquainted with "Ateshgah temple" State Historical-Architectural Reserve in Baku on March 17.
Schoolchildren were welcomed here in the holiday atmosphere - music, dance and Novruz khonchas (holiday trays filled with dry fruits, sweets, candles and so on).
The students were in detail informed about the history of this ancient monument. It was noted that “Ateshgah temple”, located in the territory of Surakhani district, 30 km away from Baku, is known all over the world. Ancient Zoroastrian fire-worshippers temple was located in this area in ancient times. Fire-worshippers who give a mysterious importance to the eternal flame came here to worship the holy fire.
In the XV-XVII centuries, fire-worshipper Hindoos visited Surakhani, who came to Absheron with trade caravans. Hindoo merchants built new buildings in the place of the ancient temple. The earliest building of the “Ateshgah temple” is dated to 1713. In the XVIII century, a temple, cells, a caravansary were built around the temple.
In the frame of educative tour-campaign under the motto “Let’s discover our country”, students from Nakhchivan visited the Baku Olympic Stadium on March 17.
Naxcivantv.az reports that the students were detailed informed about the magnificent sports facility. It was stated that the construction of the stadium began on June 6, 2011. The opening and closing ceremonies of the first European Games took place here. Athletics competitions included in the program of the European Games were also held at this stadium.
It was noted that the Baku Olympic Stadium, which has modern architectural style and special beauty, has a special place among such sports facilities. The stadium, which fully meets the international standards, has various platforms, running strip and other infrastructures. The stadium, which covers about 50 hectares, consists of 6 floors. In the arena consisting of main and auxiliary stadiums, VVIP, VIP, CIP, media, as well as disabled sections are provided. The stadium has 4 entrances and the platforms have 26 doors. According to the Olympic norms, 3100-seat car park was built in the area. A total of 82,000 square meters of greenery is being built around the stadium. The arena project is distinguished with the maximum cost-effectiveness, modernity, functionality affordability, compatibility with the architecture of the capital and the technical conditions.
In the next stage of educative tour -campaign “Let’s discover our country”, the students of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic got acquainted with the Heydar Aliyev Center on March 17.
The students were informed about the building of the Heydar Aliyev Center which is one of the unique architectural masterpieces of the world architecture. It was mentioned that the activity of the center focuses on deep study and research of the national leader Heydar Aliyev's philosophy of statehood, the ideology of Azerbaijanism and the rich heritage of the Great Leader. In addition, the Center's projects serve to popularize and promote the history, language, culture and other national values of Azerbaijan in the international arena, support and development of science, education, culture, health, sports, ecology and various sectors of the economy.
The Heydar Aliyev Museum in the center interested the students much. In the sections "Life reflected in photographs", "Socio-political life of Azerbaijan", "Statehood, heritage and achievements", various aspects of the activity concept of the Great Leader in both the Soviet period and during the years of independence are presented in virtual form.
On March 16, Nakhchivan State Children’s Theatre presented “We need a rabbit and a forest-guard” allegoric comedy for children at Ordubad Region Culture House.
The performance which the author is the Honored artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the director of the theatre Tofig Seyidov reminds an anecdote. A bear was told which seeks a job, a rabbit is working in bear’s work. They can only give him the job of the rabbit. As the bear needs this job he agrees but he wants to prove that he is the real bear. As in the document of the bear it is written a rabbit, he is complaining to prove this. Those who come after each other to look at the documents of the bear that sent the complaint letters, mentioned that he is a rabbit grounding on the documents. As in the rabbit’s documents it is written a bear, they try to explain the baselessness of the bear’s complaint but the bear does not agree with it.
While the main conflict in the play begins here, the events become more interesting. This joyful and meaningful performance with little actors playing with a sense of humor is met with interest.
