The 60th anniversary of People’s artist Hasan Aghasoy marked

On March 27, an event was held on the occasion of the 60^th anniversary of the People’s artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hasan Aghasoy at the Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theatre named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh.

Opening the event Rahman Mammadov, chief of Department for Humanitarian Policy Issues and work with Public Organizations of the Machinery of the Supreme Majlis said that special attention is paid to the prominent art figures in our ancient land. The jubilees of art figures are marked at a high level in the autonomous republic. To mark the 60^th anniversary of the People’s artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hasan Aghasoy is an obvious expression of care shown to them.

It was emphasized that People’s artist Hasan Agasoy has had a great creative way, has created more than 80 images in Nakhchivan theater and has gained audience’s popularity. Hasan Aghasoy is also a master of literary reading. He has had important services to prepare young cadres. Hasan Aghasoy’s services have been appreciated by the government. He has been awarded Honored artist of Nakhchivan in 1984, the Honored artist of Azerbaijan in 1989, and People’s artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1999. In 2005, 2010 he was winner of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in 2008 he was awarded the "Taraggi" (Progress) Medal.

Students from Nakhchivan were sent to Baku in the frame of tour-campaign “Let’s discover our country”

In the frame of “Let’s discover our country” tour-campaign, the students from Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic arrived in Baku on March 26.

The participants were met by folklore and dancers group, Kosa, Kechal, the symbols of Novruz, girls dressed national clothes holding samani and holiday trays in their hands.

The group leader, the collaborator of the Ministry of Education of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Panah Ismayilov reported AZERTAJ that 160 students of IX-XI grades of the autonomous republic arrived in Baku with 20 guide-teachers. This visit will also be memorable as others. The students will get acquainted with the historical monuments of our capital, will visit sightseeing places.

The student of Nakhchivan city secondary school No. 12 Aysun Naghdaliyeva said that she was very pleased to take part in “Let’s us discover our country” tour-campaign. She said that she had the opportunity to get acquainted with the historical monuments of our capital within the framework of the project, and said that she would return with rich impressions from her visit and inform her school friends about what she saw here.

On March 26, 160 students from the schools of Sabunchu, Surakhani, Nizami, Khazar, Narimanov and Pirallahi districts of Baku went to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic within the framework of the educational tour-campaign "Let's discover our country".

Students will get acquainted with Nakhchivan's historical and cultural monuments, traditions and places reflecting the modern side of this ancient land.

Speaking about the importance of the tour, the head of the group from Sabunchu district, Jeyhun Abbasov, said that at this stage of the tour "Let's discover our country" the pupils will be in our regions where they have not seen so far and they will know these places. This will increase the sense of patriotism in our students. We believe that children will return with pleasant impressions.

About 30 students of IX-XI grades of secondary schools of Narimanov district went to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on March 26 within the framework of the educational tour-campaign "Let's discover our country".

Deputy head of Narimanov District Executive Power Irada Mahmudova underlined the importance of this tour in enriching the outlook of schoolchildren. She said that the tour "Let's discover our country" is being successfully implemented for several years. This is a manifestation of our state's attention and care for schoolchildren. Within the framework of the visit, schoolchildren will get acquainted with the history, culture, nature, traditions, ancient monuments of Nakhchivan.

Deputy head of Narimanov District Executive Power Ilgar Mirzayev and head of the Youth and Sports Department Najaf Novruzov talked about the importance of the tour-campaign under the motto "Let's discover our country" for schoolchildren. In total, 3393 people from 84 cities and regions, including IDPs, will participate in the 9th tour-campaign in six directions, including Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Thus, the number of schoolchildren participating in the tour of "Let’s discover our country" will be more than 20 thousand.

It should be noted that, traditionally, for the past five years, educative tour-campaigns are organized in different regions of our homeland under the slogan "Let’s discover our country" for pupils of IX-XI grades of secondary schools in Azerbaijan. According to the recommendation of the head of state Ilham Aliyev, the tour-action, organized by the Presidential Administration, has become a good tradition.

The main purpose of the project is to familiarize students with the achievements of independent Azerbaijan, created by the national leader Heydar Aliyev, modern life, historical, cultural heritage, traditions, specific features of various regions of our country, with the determination and will of President Ilham Aliyev, to create a visual imagination of young people about the dynamic socio-economic development of our republic, the renewed image of our towns and districts.
