On March 14, Nakhchivan City Culture and Tourism Department organized a concert of children with disabilities studied at Nakhchivan's children's music and art schools under the motto "Nakhchivan - The Capital of Islamic Culture 2018" at Nakhchivan City Music and Art School named after A.Javid.
Before the concert Tarana Jafarova, the head of the Nakhchivan City Culture and Tourism Department, mentioned that according to the “State Program on the education and rehabilitation of children with disabilities in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in 2016-2020” approved by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated January 11, 2016, important tasks have been set before a number of ministries, committees, departments of the autonomous republic to organize effective and meaningful leisure time for children with disabilities. In the autonomous republic a number of tasks are being carried out for the education of children from this category, the organization of training at the highest level, their involvement to music schools and out-of-school facilities, and to reveal their talents.
Various events and concerts are held in children's music schools to display their creative potential and talent, in these concerts, children demonstrate their talent and get closely attached to their specialty. 27 children of this category are studying at Nakhchivan's children's music and art schools. At today's concert, 9 of them will display their talent.
On March 14, an open lesson dedicated to the 85th anniversary of poet Jabir Novruz was held at Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Literature Museum named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh jointly Nakhchivan city secondary school No.1 on the topic “Variety of theme in the creativity of patriotic and willable poet Jabir Novruz”.
Opening the open lesson, the director of the museum Alamzar Ibrahimova mentioned that in the early years of his literary life, the poet gained deep love of his readers with his poems, which praised high human and moral values. Lyric poetry samples and epic works from his pen are distinguished with the artistic level, theme color. It was also noted that J. Novruz came from the nation and lived with his people, his heart was beaten with his nation, devoted his life to his nation.
Then speaking on the topic “Variety of theme in the creativity of patriotic and willable poet Jabir Novruz”, Gulara Babayeva, the guide of the museum gave detailed information about the life and creativity of the poet.
On March 14, the Nakhchivan City Children's Music and Art School hosted a roundtable on "Islamic religious and national-moral values: customs-traditions" organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Kanan Taghizadeh, chief advisor to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, said in his opening speech that Nakhchivan city was proclaimed as the Capital of Islamic Culture for 2018 at the VI Conference of Culture Ministers of Islamic countries, held in Baku, on October 14, 2009. The aim of the event is to introduce and educate young people with Islamic culture and values.
It was noted that the Islamic religion spread in Azerbaijan in the VII century and was the basis of the national and moral values of the Azerbaijani people. Our centuries-old history of Islam is rich and interesting. Today we are proud to say that Azerbaijan's great people of Islamic culture and religion, Nizami, Bahmanyar, Ajami Nakhchivani, Safiaddin Urmavi, Fuzuli, Nasimi, Tusi, Gatran Tabrizi and many other great personalities made a great contribution to world civilization, enriched Islamic culture.
The fourth round of drawing competition on the topic “National leader Heydar Aliyev through the eyes of young artists” was held at Nakhchivan City Chess School.
Speaking at the event, the director of Nakhchivan State Art Gallery, the member of Artists’ Union of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Hokuma Mammadli mentioned that the development of Azerbaijan culture, in particular, the development of fine art is connected with the name of the national leader Heydar Aliyev. The national leader paid great attention and care to painting art in all periods of his power. The prominent representatives of painting art such as Mikayil Abdullayev, Tahir Salahov, Sattar Bablulzadeh, Boyukagha Gasimzadeh, Maral Rahmanzadeh, Altay Hajiyev and others were awarded the highest titles and got state prizes.
It was emphasized that there was great care to the art of painting and Nakhchivan Artists’ Union was established in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic during national leader Heydar Aliyev’s power. The preparation of young cadres was in the spotlight.
The Nakhchivan State Technical College hosted a literary event devoted to the life and activity of Islam Safarli on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of this great poet, organized by Nakhchivan city Centralized Library System named after Imran Gasimov.
Asaf Rushanov, the director of Nakhchivan State Technical College, Doctor of Philosophy on Agrarian Sciences and Sadagat Asgarova, the director of Nakhchivan city Centralized Library System named after Imran Gasimov, gave speeches at the event.
It was noted in the speeches that Islam Safarli, born in eternal turkic land Nakhchivan, inspired by the thousand-year old ancient monuments of this country was a loyal citizen to this land.
Islam Safarli, who started his artistic career at the age of 17, played an important role in the development of Azerbaijani culture and literature. In the 50-70s of the XX century, he got a start in Azerbaijani poetry in his own way, and was known as the poet Islam Safarli, and his songs became proverbial.
Islam Safarli was among volunteers at the World War, serving in the 416th Taganrog military division. His poems were published in frontline newspapers. The war played an important role in the creativity of the poet.
