Methodical course on Solfeggio, music literature and choirs conducted in Shahbuz

On March 9, Shahbuz City Children's Music School hosted a methodical course on solfeggio, music literature and choirs under the motto "Nakhchivan - The Capital of Islamic Culture - 2018" for teachers of children's music schools subordinated to Shahbuz Region Culture and Tourism Department.

Leyla Alimardanova, the head of the sector of music development and work with educational institutions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, stated that the main purpose of conducting these courses to enrich the pupils' outlook. The acquaintance of the students with general and Azerbaijani music literature plays an important role in the formation and comprehensive development of musical education in them. The main purpose of the methodical courses is to raise the level of teachers' knowledge and to direct those who teach this subject. Teachers have also been given detailed information about the solfeggio.

Then, Nuray Huseynova, teacher of Children's Music School No. 3 named after S.Rajabov, conducted a methodical lesson on "Teaching of solfeggio in the five and seven year's education system". She noted that during the teaching process of solfeggio in music schools, the students should be able to set up the order of Azerbaijani modes, to form the capability of hearing the Azerbaijani modes along with the major-minor system and folk musical samples should be cited in various intonation goals.

An event on the topic “Nakhchivan is ancient oghuz land” held

On March 9, at Kangarli Region Culture House, an event titled “Nakhchivan is ancient oghuz land” was held under the motto “Nakhchivan the Capital of Islamic Culture- 2018” for the youth of the institutions under Kangarli Region Culture and Tourism Department.

The collaborator of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Kanan Taghizadeh made a speech and mentioned that the main purpose of these events is to get acquainted the young generation with the culture and tourism potential of the autonomous republic. These events are also widely used to promote the culture, historical monuments and tourism opportunities of our ancient land, using the opportunities of the youth.

It was noted that in recent years, great work has been done for the development of culture in the autonomous republic, restoration and renovation of historical and cultural monuments, development of tourism, and important state documents have been signed. "State Program on the development of tourism in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in 2018-2022" approved by the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated January 31, 2018, opens up new opportunities for us.

The president of the CONIFA in Asia visited the autonomous republic

The president of the CONIFA (the Confederation of Independent Football Associations) of autonomous republics in Asia Filip Jens Jockel visited the autonomous republic. The guest held a number of events in the frame of his visit, got acquainted with the historical and interesting places of Nakhchivan city.

The guest was detailed informed about the life and activity of the national leader at Heydar Aliyev Museum.

Then Filip Jens Jockel visited “Nakhchivangala” Historical-Architectural Museum Complex. Here he was informed about the carpets reflecting the antiquity of Nakhchivan, household items used by ancient people lived in the territory of Nakhchivan in the past, exhibits.

It was emphasized that the construction work carried out here proves the high appreciation towards historical heritage in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The guest also visited the tomb of Prophet Noah.

Theatre art preserving our rich cultural heritage has passed glorious development way

On the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev dated March 1, 2013, every year, March 10 is marked as “National Theatre Day” in our country.

Grounding on Gobustan, Gamigaya pictographic depicts, researchers say that theatre traditions in the territory of Azerbaijan date back ancient times. Folk plays, street and anecdote performances created by our nation, holiday fancies are the first examples of our theater art. In “Sayachi”, “Novruz”, “Lal oyunu”, “Gudul”, “Kosa-kosa”, “Maral oyunu”, “Kilimarasi”, “Gasvas” and other ceremony, ethno-cultural plays we see the first elements of our theatre art.

The professional Azerbaijani theatre founded by M.F.Akhundov’s “The vizier of Lankaran khan” in March 1873, has overcome all difficulties and passed glorious development way. The selflessness of the great intellectuals of their time such as Hasan bey Zardabi, Najaf bey Vazirov and Asgaragha Adigozelov in theatre field caused to establish theatre movement in Azerbaijan. On May 11, 1883, Haji  Najaf Zeynalov, the progressive intellectual of his time, staged Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh's comedy “Monsieur Jordan  and Darvish Mastali Shah”  in his house situated in famous “Zaviya” block of Nakhchivan, and the Nakhchivan Theater was laid.

The presentation of new equipments was held in Nakhchivan State Philharmonic

The presentation of new sound equipments purchased for the Nakhchivan State Philharmonic was held on March 9.

Speaking at the presentation, Natavan Gadimova, the minister of Culture and Tourism of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, said that the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has a comprehensive state care for the development of national music. The culture of the autonomous republic is experiencing its new era of development. In the background of this improvement, national music art has also been developed. In recent years, new music schools have been built and put into operation in Nakhchivan city, district centers and villages, and the financial-technical bases of Nakhchivan State Philharmonic, Nakhchivan State Children's Philharmonic and Nakhchivan Music College have been strengthened.

It was noted that the history of the Nakhchivan State Philharmonic, which is the largest music collective of the autonomous republic, operating about 35 years, starts with the ensemble of folk musical instruments created under Nakhchivan State Radio Committee since 1955. Since 1959 it had continued its activity as Nakhchivan State "Araz" Song and Dance Ensemble, and since 1983 it had been formed as Nakhchivan State Philharmonic on the basis of "Araz" Song and Dance Ensemble. At present, there are 5 collectives at the Philharmonic. About 200 musicians and art figures have been working in the philharmonic today.
